On 1/13/18 these two unknown individuals used stolen credit card information possibly on a cloned credit card to make purchases at Walmart. On behalf of everyone at the Holland Police Department our thoughts and prayers are going out to everyone affected by this terrible tragedy.

On 1/16/18 these three were stealing from Walmart and were caught.They began to turn over the concealed merchandise when the suspect in the front wearing the back hat turned and fled running into a Walmart employee who was just arriving to work. That person fell back onto the concrete striking her head on the floor. They fled in a Kia Sportage, unknown plate and unknown color. This unknown person used a stolen credit card to make a $649.00 purchase at the Holland Walmart. He also used the card at the Oregon and Sylvania Township Walmarts also. ******SUSPECT HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED ********* on 12/8/17 this unidentified suspect broke into a residence and took a credit card. He then used the card in Cleveland Ohio, Stow Ohio, Athens Ohio and other towns in between. This guy may not be from the area so please share this post. We are still waiting on video from other places he has used the card so we will post better pics if we get them. Thank you for any help. on 12/12/17 this unknown man is caught stealing a cell phone from Walmart. When confronted by store personnel he displays a folding knife and tells them to "back off", but in a more expletive way than I can put on here. On 12-4-17 this unknown person went into Walmart and selected three home security systems and one computer with a total value of $1726.00. He then ran out of the emergency exit and loaded the merchandise into the car pictured. At tonights council meeting Mark Cerda was sworn in as a part time police officer. Officer Cerda brings 16 years of law enforcment experience to the department.

The Village of Holland is accepting resumes for the position of part time police officer. Starting pay is $10.82 while in field training. After field training pay goes to $16.62 and tops out at $19.22 in five steps. Resumes may be dropped off Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00p.m. or mailed to 1245 Clarion Ave. Holland Ohio 43528. All applicants must be OPOTA certified.

This unknown person slipped a bottle of tequila in his coat at the Kroger in Holland. Normally we wouldnt post someone on here stealing a cheap bottle of booze but when the clerk confronted the thief he obviously denied it. She then pushed on the bulge in his coat and told him to just give it back. Thats when he told her that it was not a bottle, but it was a gun. She then retreated back into the store and reported it. UPDATE: SUSPECT HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AND CHARGES ARE PENDING.This guy went into kroger tonight and after loading a cart with $428.32 worth of groceries, he decided to leave with out paying. He ran when stopped by kroger loss prevention personell. He was with two females that also had loaded a cart but decided not to try to leave with it after this suspect was stopped.
