Officer Brazel and Sgt. Slepicka on the Autism Awareness Open House scheduled for tomorrow.

Do you recognize this truck?? It appears to be a two-tone (lighter bottom, darker top), Ford F-150, with an extended cab. This photo was taken near Stonecress Drive early this morning, June 27th, just after midnight. Investigators believe the driver of this truck may be a "scrapper" or otherwise in various neighborhoods looking for discarded items that could have value to him or her. If you think you've seen the truck in Tipp City and you could help us identify the driver, please call Detective Sergeant Chris Graham at 937-667-3112. ***This post alone shouldn't necessarily mean the truck was used in the commission of a crime, just that we need help identifying the driver/owner***

On behalf of the Tipp City Police Department we would like to extend a huge thank you to Dr. Jo for throwing a Paw-ty on behalf of K9 Pasha and the Tipp City K9 program. Thank you to all those who attended for your continued support of the program.

ID R KIDS - State Issued ID's for Children With Identity Theft incidents on the rise, children are often becoming unknowing victims. Sometimes a teenager will go to apply for their driving permit only to find out that someone has stolen their identity! This could go unnoticed for years since a state ID is typically not needed prior to driving. The Ohio BMV now permits parents to have a state ID issued for their children at any age for only $8.50. The benefit to this is that the childs ID will be established and anyone attempting to use their identity should be flagged. For more information, please see: http://bmv.ohio.gov/dl-id-idrkids.aspx

We would like to honor one of our own this week and recognize him for his service and the ultimate sacrifice he gave to protect others. Patrolman George Eickmeyer was killed in the line of duty on Friday, September 14, 1945. He served with the Tipp City Police Deartment for 5 years until struck by a train attempting to exit his patrol vehicle. At the end of his watch he was 72 years old. Gone but never forgotten. 💙

There has been increased criminal activity in the south end of the city, in neighborhoods off of Evanston, like Sycamore Woods, Cottonwood Creek, Hunters Ridge, York Commons and Curtwood. This activity includes items stolen from vehicles and vehicles themselves being stolen. We caution you to be vigilant in protecting your property. Take valuables out of the vehicle, lock the doors, and do not leave your keys in the vehicle. We have increased patrols in these areas but also ask you to report any suspicious incidents, especially late at night. Pictured here is Carlos Kolb. There are numerous active warrants for his arrest. One is for possessing stolen property that was taken from vehicles in the above mentioned area. We are looking for him and ask your help. If you see this man, call police immediately. If you know Carlos Kolb, and know where he is, call Detective Tony Smith at 937-667-3112.

🚨 ROLL CALL 🚨 On Monday night at approximately 7:15 p.m the Tipp City Police assisted the Ohio State Patrol with an injury crash on I75 South just south of Exit 69. The amount of speed and force busted the wall which led to a vehicle on the northbound side to get struck. The driver of a pick up truck had a huge piece of cement fly through his passenger side windshield. There was also a huge piece of cement imbedded in the front end of his truck. There was debris all over both north and southbound lanes. The interstate was shut down until the crash and debris could be cleaned up. The drivers of both vehicles suffered minor injuries. We are glad everyone was ok and no major injuries or other vehicles were involved. Please be safe while driving. Please share!
