We are needing assistance identifying two men who shoplifted computers from Wal Mart on 11/2/17. Anyone having information on these men is asked to contact the Moraine Police Department 937-535-1166.

Moraine PD is participating in No Shave November. If you see some scruffy faces on the street , you will know why. Our goal is to start some conversations and raise awareness for cancer. Each participating employee is donating money to the American Cancer Society. We will post some updated pictures of your bearded officers later in the month.

PRESS RELEASE; On Friday, October 20, 2017, at approximately 5:16 am officers from the Moraine Police Department were dispatched to the area of 3730 Pinnacle Rd. Moraine, Ohio on the report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the area. During the course of the investigation the officers located a suspect in the vehicle, the suspect pointed a handgun at the officers and two Moraine police officers responded with gunfire. As a result of the gunfire the suspect, a 23 year old black male from Ohio was pronounced dead at the scene. This incident is currently under investigation and additional details will be released as they are available.

On October 17th at 4:58 pm an elderly woman's purse was stolen while she was shopping at Walmart. We are searching for the three individuals shown in the photographs. If you can identify these individuals or have information on their whereabouts please contact us at 937-535-1166.

2017 Dodgeball Team!!!

LAST WEEK; Dep. Chief Jason Neubauer, Sgt. Chris Selby, Sgt. Jon Spencer, and Sgt. Ken Lloyd along with several agencies from Montgomery County attended a week long course geared toward Crisis Intervention. The purpose of this course is to assist officers in identifying individuals with mental health problems, de-escalation techniques, and communication. We are pleased to announce that we now have six officers that have obtained this certification.

Come out and visit us at the Moraine Fire Department Neighborhood Safety Fest at CF Holliday School on S. Dixie Dr.. Several other community organizations are here. Enjoy a free lunch and lots of activities for the kids. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
