Moraine Police Department News

MARK YOUR CALENDARS; We will be participating in the National Drug Take-Back Initiative on April 28, 2018, from 10am to 2pm. The event will take place in the lobby of the Moraine Municipal Building. The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. The Moraine Police Division will only accept prescriptions in pill form. If you have a prescription that is a liquid we suggest putting it in an absorbent material to dispose of it.

Come out and enjoy our 2018 National Night Out event. The event is geared toward fostering long lasting relationships. We will have multiple police agencies, vehicles, and equipment on display. There is always plenty of activities for the kids and free food. We hope to see you there.

The Payne Recreation Center will close today at 12:00pm due to the flooding.

These two dogs were loose last night. We got calls about them on Pensacola Bl and on Creekwood Cr before we found them. If you know the owner (or want to adopt a dog) call the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center at 937-898-4457.

Today we laid to rest Lt. John Setty. Lt. Setty provided 32 years of dedicated service to the police department and the residents of the City of Moraine. Lt. Setty will be deeply missed and always remembered. Rest in peace brother, we have the watch from here.

Anyone recognize this suspect? We'd like to give him a warm place to stay for the weekend so he can't steal for awhile. 9375351166

Be on the lookout for Santa...

Check us out tomorrow at 8pm. We will be broadcasting a special message. Be sure to have your kiddos close by.

We were lucky enough to meet this couple while they were waiting in line at the checkout at Walmart last night. They were surprised to find us standing behind them and even more surprised when they found out we were going to pay for their entire shopping cart. Thank you to Walmart for allowing us to share in this special moment.

The boys and girls of the Moraine Mentoring Program have had a great year. Tonight they each received a special gift from Santa Claus and a stocking filled with goodies made by some of our very generous and dedicated officers (and dispatcher 😉). Merry Christmas, Moraine Mentoring from your friends at MPD! 🎄🎁⛄️🎄
