Chillicothe Police Department News

Its time for No Shave November. During October we allowed officers to start growing beards, and all employees to wear some Pink apparel. To participate you had to donate money that goes to Southern Ohio Survivors We have been doing this for several years, and SOS has been our recipient. Last year we gathered over $2,250 from our officers, dispatchers and civilian staff alone. Our goal is to exceed this number once again.

FYI: 3,000 kids will be walking from Yoctangee Park to the steps of the Ross CO. Common Pleas Court House on Friday. That is a lot of kids. So, you may want to take alternate routes when coming downtown between 9:30A and at least 11:00AM. Paint and Main will be closed off going N/b on Paint as well as Paint/2nd STs going s/b on Paint. Also, the sheer number of kids walking will tie up the intersections of Paint/Water and Paint/2nd Sts. for a considerable amount of time. We do encourage everyone to come out and support our kids in this great program.
