With the likelihood of severe storms today and the upcoming season, this is a reminder that there is a public Storm Shelter in Cache. It is located at 302 S.W. 5th Street, on the east side of the Community Building. The shelter will remain open to the public throughout the duration of any severe storms. Remember to bring any supplies you may need if you choose to take shelter there, (food, water, flashlights, etc.)

Cache Police Department's K9 Max to get body armor! Cache Police Department's K9 Max will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9's, Inc. K9 Max's vest is sponsored by an Anonymous Sponsor and will be embroidered with the sentiment, "In memory of K9 Rex." Delivery is expected within eight to ten weeks. Vest Interest in K9's, Inc. is a 501c (3) charity located in East Taunton, MA whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United Stated. The non-profit was established in 2009 to assist law enforcement agencies with this potentially lifesaving body armor for their four-legged K9 officer's. Since it's inception, Vested Interest in K9's Inc. provided over 2,800 protective vests, in 50 states, through private and corporate donations, at a cost of over 2.4 million dollars. The program is open to dogs actively employed in the U.S. with law enforcement or related agencies who are certified and at least 20 months of age. K9 graduates, as well as K9's with expired vests, are eligible to participate. The donation to provide on protective vest for a law enforcement K9 is $950.00. Each vest has a value between $1,744-$2,283 and a five-year warranty, and an average weight of 4-5 lbs. There is an estimated 30,000 law enforcement K9's throughout the Unites States. *FIRE UPDATE* Firefighters have managed to get the fire mostly put out. They're still working on a few hot spots. One home in the 700 block of NW Oak Avenue is a complete loss, along with a storage building. One additional home next door also has damage. No damages have been reported south of Oak Avenue. A few dogs were found loose running away from the fire. Animal Control is housing the rescued pets at the Cache Animal Shelter at this time, until they can be reunited with their owners.

*ATTENTION!* Very large structure fire on north side of town. Residents on the north side are being asked to evacuate as firefighters attempt to contain the fire. First Responders have secured numerous pets from residences along Oak and Cherry Avenue, between Highway 115 and 4th Street. The pets are currently being held at the animal shelter. Any evacuees needing shelter at this time, please go to the First Assembly Church located at 5th and B Avenue

Cache first responders were dispatched to a vehicle rollover with injury at the intersection of Highway 115 and Cache Road around 2340 hours. The driver was transported to Comanche County Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The roadway is now back open. We urge drivers to use caution in the area, due to road repairs, the centerline is not yet painted.

This dog was found on the side of 115 after being hit. It's a male boxer, older in age, red collar. A good Samaritan has taken it to a vet in Lawton. If you know this dog or who may own it please contact me at 405-2488409

Latest update on the storms: We're not in the all clear yet. A tornado has been confirmed on the ground in the refuge at this time 1836 hours, and more storms are expected to develop. The Tornado Shelter behind the Community Building at 5th and C Avenue will remain open to the public.

*ALERT* - STOLEN VEHICLE* Cache Police are investigating a stolen, black in color 2016 Ford F-150 Crew Cab. It was reported stolen from the Cache football game, in the parking lot, last Friday, 10-13-17. It was parked on the south end of the parking lot, and was stolen as the victim watched the game inside in the stadium. Thanks to the Cache Intermediate Principal for coming in during fall break to allow us to review surveillance footage, we are now able to see the truck leave the parking lot at 2027 hours. Due to the low light conditions, it is very difficult to see anyone enter the vehicle, but we are able to see the headlights turn on, and it drive away, north out of the parking lot toward Cache Road. The truck was bearing Oklahoma Tag 579RUF If anyone has any information about this crime, please contact the Cache Police Department immediately. If your information leads to the arrest/prosecution of the suspect(s), you may be entitled to a reward.

Everyone come on out to the Cache School's Administration Building and get your car washed. These hard working young men are raising money through donations to assist a fellow student that needs a heart transplant. They will he here until 2pm today.

*SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY ALERT* On 10-16-17 at approximately 1615 hours, an individual reported suspicious activity at a residence, on Meadow Lane, on the northside of Cache, OK. The homeowner was outside, walking from her backyard into the front yard. When she rounded the corner of her house, she witnessed a man standing at the top of her driveway, looking into one of her vehicles. The man noticed her, and immediately turned away and ran back to his vehicle, (a newer model black Honda Civic), which was parked on her driveway. He then accelerated quickly out of the driveway and sped away, last seen driving westbound on Oak Avenue. It all happened so fast, the reporting party was unable to get a license plate number. The man was described as a white male, in his 20's, with brown hair. Officers were nearby when the call came in and responded quickly. They were unable to locate the suspect or vehicle. This incident did occur during the middle of the day. So please be cautious and stay aware of your surroundings and immediately report any suspicious activity. Thank you

Thank you all for your help! **ORIGINAL POST** *ALERT* SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY The Cache Police Department is investigating suspicious activity. On 10-15-17, officer's received a call from a family living on Buffalo Drive. They reported that around 4 in the morning, their dog began to bark like crazy at their front door, as if someone was outside. They opened the door, and witnessed one of the individuals pictured below, running away from their house, through their yard, and toward Chisolm Corner. A few seconds later, both of the individuals pictured, rode back past their house at a high rate of speed, on a 4 wheeler. No items were reported stolen or vandalized. They described the suspects as tall white males, wearing brown coveralls and hats. They were then spotted on the Chisolm Corner Surveillance Cameras about 30 minutes prior to the incident. If you recognize the individuals in the photos, or have any information, please contact the Cache Police Department. You may remain anonymous. At this point we're not sure of their intentions sneaking around the home, but it is very suspicious. *ALERT* - STOLEN VEHICLE * The Cache Police Department is investigating a stolen vehicle. The vehicle, which is a white 2013 Honda Accord Coupe, with tinted windows, sunroof, and a Honda bodykit, was reported stolen on 10-12-17 from Huddleston Drive in Cache, OK. The suspect(s) broke into the victims garage, and stole the car as they slept, between the hours of 2230 and 0730. On 10-13-17, the victim learned that she had accidentally left her debit card in the vehicle, and her bank account now has numerous unauthorized transactions! The videos and pictures below, are of the suspect that used the victims debit card at the Stripes, at 11th St. and Lee Blvd. If you recognize the individual, please contact the Cache Police Department immediately so we can get this guy off the streets! Loose pitbull on NW Granite Avenue. Wearing a red collar, doesn't seem to be aggressive. Runs away everytime you try to get near it.

Found at Chisholm Trail on 9-23-17 at approximately 1230 hours. White female pit mix. Approximately 1-2 years old. Please help find her owener.
