Gladstone PD needs your help in identifying the following suspect involved in a theft of a vehicle at the 24 Hour Fitness in Gladstone OR. On 1/13/18 at approximately 5:14 PM the suspect entered the facility and broke in to a locker and took keys and stole a vehicle. The vehicle was found a short time later at the Holiday Inn Express in Gladstone. Shop With a Cop. Thanks to Hale's Restaurant for feeding the kids before their shopping trip.

Gladstone PD participated in today's Shop with A Cop. We are honored to be part of this annual event. This could not have been possible without the generous donations from our community. 9 kids from the city of Gladstone were able to shop for Christmas presents and the smiles on their faces could not have been any more rewarding. Just tell us you have packages coming and we will take your information and call you when they are delivered. You can fill out the linked form, or call Santa’s Elf, Cathy at 503-557-2760. Please send it to the police department at 535 Portland Ave., Gladstone, OR, 97027. Address it to Santa's Squad – GPD, C/O your name so we know who call for pickup. Letter Carrier Robbery The U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Gladstone Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance for information about two suspects who robbed a U.S. Postal Service Letter Carrier, near the intersection of West Dartmouth & Beatrice Avenue in Gladstone, Oregon. The U.S Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $10,000, for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects. The Letter Carrier was robbed at approximately 6:20 pm on November 28, 2017. The Letter Carrier suffered minor injuries which did not require hospitalization, a Postal Service vehicle suffered minor damage and the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of mail. There is very little information about the suspects at this time. Anyone with information should call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 877-876-2455 and/or Gladstone PD at (503) 655-8211 and reference Case #17-1769 . No additional information is available for release at this time as this is an active investigation.

We're open for trick or treat!

Happy Halloween! Come stop by the police & fire department tonight between 4:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. We will be handing out candy and glow necklaces for the little ones. Oregon Impact will also be here to do car seat safety checks. We are located at 535 Portland Ave. See you tonight!

FYI - GPD has been receiving an unusual amount of reports related to thefts from vehicles. This has been reported in the Jersey to Dartmouth sector and also Meldrum Bar Park. As a reminder, please lock your car, keep valuables out of sight, park your car where it can be seen and/or lighted at night.

GPD assisted fire yesterday at Gladstone High School teaching CPR to the seniors. Great event, thanks to GFD for the invitation! Gladstone has great youth in our community.

GPD officers are running radar on Glen Echo. The speed limit in both directions is 25 mph. Please slow down!

Town Hall tonight at the Gladstone High School Auditorium (18800 Portland Ave.) - 6:30 p.m.

Public Works has High Street closed from E. Hereford to E. Kenmore for storm/sewer upgrades. They plan to have the road opened by 1:00 p,m. this afternoon. Please avoid the area.
