The Columbia City Police Department is proud to announce the addition of a new Reserve Police Officer to our staff. Mary Goodwin recently graduated from the Reserve Police Academy and was sworn in as a Reserve Police Officer on Thursday July 21, 2016. Having previously been a fully certified police officer with the St. Helens Police Department in the 1990’s, Mary decided to come back into the profession after taking a hiatus to devote time to her family. She brings a wealth of experience and is committed to working within the community to continue making Columbia City a safe place to live, work, and play. Please take the time to welcome her whenever you see her out and about in our community.

We don't know them all, but we owe them all... #memorialday2016

The Columbia City Police Department has recently received several dog-at-large complaints. We want to remind everyone that there is a city ordinance in regards to animals at large. This ordinance, in part, states that a dog can not freely roam any public street, highway, or public place. A $500.00 citation can be issued. Thank you for your support in not allowing your dog to be off-leash while not on private property.
