TRAFFIC ALERT – LONG TERM ROAD CLOSURE In an effort to provide information early for our motorists to plan ahead, we have been advised of the timeline for the Street Run Road projects for 2018. We will keep updating this page as information presents and this plan is subject to change. As of right now, Streets Run Road is scheduled to be CLOSED from the City of Pittsburgh line to Brentwood Road beginning on MONDAY, APRIL 16th. This closure is to replace a small bridge near Lutz Hollow. This project should end no later than June 7th. The second project for Streets Run Road will begin on FRIDAY, JUNE 8th. Streets Run Road will be closed adjacent to the railroad tracks near the intersection of Streets Run Road and Doyle/ East Willock Roads for the bridge replacement near that intersection as well as railroad crossing work. Traffic will be able to traverse through this intersection with the exception of that bridge on Streets Run Road. This project will be completed by August 24th. To summarize, there will be portions of Streets Run Road that will be closed to all traffic beginning on or about April 16th and continue to August 24th. PennDOT will begin posting the closure 2 weeks in advance. Detours will be posted and all local roads will be accessible.

TRAFFIC ALERT – ROAD PAVING Keeport Drive and Youngridge Drive will be milled and repaved during the week of April 2nd. Lane closures and parking restrictions will be enforced during this project.

UPDATING THE RING PROGRAM: We have received overwhelming interest in our RING Doorbell Program, "Project B-Safe". We originally obtained funding for 50 units. Since our post, we have received over 120 requests for this program. We are working to secure additional funding so that we may fulfill all requests to join this program. However, we are asking for your patience while we work to secure that funding. We will update this page as we progress. Thank you again for your interest in this program and for supporting our police department.

PRESS RELEASE: The Baldwin Borough Police Department is proud to announce the launch of "Project B-Safe", a unique investigative tool that will enable police to work with residents to obtain video when investigating crimes that occur in Baldwin Borough neighborhoods. With this new application of RING, police will notify RING video customers in a specific neighborhood of a crime in their area and request any video that might be relevant to the investigation. Residents will be able to review their own videos on their smart phones and immediately share any relevant video with police. Using their RING devices, residents can also use their smart phones to keep track of activity at their own home, such as package deliveries and visitors. To kick off this program, with the assistance of the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office, the Baldwin Borough Police Department will be providing a limited quantity of the RING devices at a significant discount to residents of Baldwin Borough. The initial phase will provide the first 50 qualified residents of Baldwin Borough with a RING device normally valued at $199.00 for only $40.00. To be qualified, residents must install the device in a home in Baldwin Borough, have access to WiFi, and have a smart device such as an IPhone or Android device. Residents who wish to participate in this ground breaking program should send an email to: Please include your name, address, and phone number in the email. A program administrator will contact you with further details.
