We would like to thank all the assistance we received from local residents, the vehicle has been located and our investigation found that this was NOT an attempted child abduction. UPDATE: This matter is closed, there was no criminal activity on anyone's part. As with any situation involving the safety of children, the LPD responds as if it is real or the worst case scenario, believing it is better to be overly cautious and perhaps prevent a serious incident. We can always scale back our response, but there is only one chance to respond and prevent / interrupt or apprehend. PLEASE refrain making any social media comments on other FB pages or sites about any of the involved people; this matter is closed. Again thanks to our followers and the tips that led to this conclusion.
