On Monday, the police department was officially sworn in by The Honorable Judge Scott A. Massey at District Court 15-3-05 in Oxford. The university had gotten away from these ceremonies over the years due to a high turnover rate, but thanks to Sgt. Myers, and Judge Massey all current Police Officers, Sergeants, and Corporals, along with the Chief and Director have officially taken the oath of office and all future Officers will do the same. We would like to thank Judge Massey and his staff, along with Sgt. Myers for setting this event up.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to our brother and sister Americans who have been affected by the mass shooting in Las Vegas this morning.

We would like to take a minute to congratulate 2 of our own. Officer Robert Basquill has been promoted from Patrolman to the rank of Corporal, and Corporal Kevin Myers has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant, effective 9/30/17. Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Lincoln lions home opener against Saint Augustine University.

Today we reflect on one of the worst days in American history. Let us never forget the sacrifice of so many that day.

As the Pump Handle festivities draw to a close, we would like to acknowledge the hard work and effort that went into this weekend from the University Administration, SGA, Director Of Public Safety Evans, Chief Connor, Police Supervisors, Police Officers, and Security Officers. The safety of every student and visitor on campus depended on all of the above working together, and it went of without a hitch. We would also like to acknowledge the overwhelming majority of students on campus for being respectful of the rules and each other throughout the weekend, which set the example for the guests on campus. Let's keep up the good work and continue to have a safe, and successful year !

We would like to remind all of our students and visitors to thoroughly review the student code of conduct along with the Pennsylvania Crimes and Vehicle codes. These are the laws and policies that we operate under, any violations will be subject to legal, and/or disciplinary actions. We want everyone here at Lincoln University to have a safe, incident free semester!!!

It was a rough night last night, Rest In Peace to the officers who lost their lives, and a speedy recovery to those who were injured.

Strong work to all of our crews today, it was very hot and humid, and busy, but we worked through it, kept things moving, maintained order and the safety of everyone on the campus. #LUPD

Tonight officers conducted active shooter training under the direction of firearms instructor Sgt Quinn. The scenario was an active shooter in Dickey Hall. Our department is continually training for any potential situations that could arise, we hope we never have to use this training however if there were an incident, our officers will be well prepared to respond and mitigate the situation.

Officers are out in full force this evening, pictured below are some of the Mountain Bike Unit, Patrol Officers, and Supervisors clearing up from an investigation.

Officers took some time today to cook dinner for the kids at Lighthouse Community Center, in Oxford. We would like to give a special thanks to Yolanda who took it upon herself to make us a nice poster to show that she appreciates the police. A good time was had by all.
