Our thoughts and prayers go out to Deputy Lukens, and his family.

You may have felt a rumbling or shaking a short time ago, there was an earthquake in our area. The quake was fairly minor and shouldn’t cause any issues here at The University. While we don’t expect any damage, please call public safety with any questions or concerns you may have.

Sorry for the delay but Mr Holt has been apprehended, thankfully.

On Monday, the police department was officially sworn in by The Honorable Judge Scott A. Massey at District Court 15-3-05 in Oxford. The university had gotten away from these ceremonies over the years due to a high turnover rate, but thanks to Sgt. Myers, and Judge Massey all current Police Officers, Sergeants, and Corporals, along with the Chief and Director have officially taken the oath of office and all future Officers will do the same. We would like to thank Judge Massey and his staff, along with Sgt. Myers for setting this event up.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to our brother and sister Americans who have been affected by the mass shooting in Las Vegas this morning.

We would like to take a minute to congratulate 2 of our own. Officer Robert Basquill has been promoted from Patrolman to the rank of Corporal, and Corporal Kevin Myers has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant, effective 9/30/17. Congratulations and keep up the good work!
