Sharon Hill Police Department News

The Sharon Hill Police are currently conducting an investigation into packages being stolen from front steps of a few residences. The thefts have all occurred during the daytime hours. We ask residents with any information or anyone that sees something suspicious to contact the police department.

Today Detective Port represented the police department by dropping off donated toys for the Sassy Massey Toy Drive. #sellingDelco

Today the police department lost a very dear friend and an even bigger supporter. RIP “Radio Bob” you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Chief Herron and Officer Smith were busy this morning delivering Thanksgiving meals to families in the borough.

Chief Herron and members of the department assisted Borough employees in handing out Thanksgiving dinners to residents.

This evening Officer Sean Johnson and Officer Devon Smith were sworn in as full time officers with the police department. We would like to congratulate them and wish them luck in their future careers. Officer Steve Mummo was also honored in his recent retirement from the department.

Chief Herron, along with Officer Devaney, Officer Smith, Mayor Dunfee, the Sharon Hill Fire Company, members of council, and borough employees greeted students on their first day of school.

Residents: Power Home Remodeling has applied for and been approved for solicitation permits. They will be going door to door in the borough. If there are any problems please call 911.

The Sharon Hill Police would like to thank Air Culinaire Worldwide Catering for providing lunch for our officers today.

The members of the department assisted the borough with July 4th celebration yesterday. It was a great day and everyone had fun. We would like to wish everyone a safe and happy July 4th holiday.

Three new part time officers were sworn in at tonight's council meeting. We would like to wish them them best of luck in their new career. Anthony Lanzetta, James Williams, and Nathan Reed.

The paving project along Chester Pike has started. Expect lane restrictions over next few days and please use caution in the area.

Mayor Dunfee and Chief Herron attended the Fresh Start Program Graduation ceremony tonight. During the ceremony Officer Smith was chosen as the children's Hero of the Year.

Update- Missing Person Located- Previously reported missing person Sakina Menti has been located. We would like to thank everyone for their assistance.

The members of the Sharon Hill Police Department would like to wish everyone a happy Memorial Day weekend. Please remember those who lost their lives defending ours.

The Sharon Hill Police are attempting to locate Sakina Menti (18 years old, 5'4, 130 pounds, black & blue hair, jeans, black jacket). Menti was last seen on May 19 @ 0915 hrs. At this time the police have no reason to suspect foul play. If seen please contact Sharon Hill Police at 610-237-6200.

Chief Herron, Detective Port, and Officer Devaney took part in Mobile Career day at the Kindergarten Center.

Sharon Hill Police, with assistance of Folcroft Police, are conducting a vehicle safety and seat belt check on Chester Pike.
