If you have a mobile phone that can receive text messages, go to the WFMZ StormCenter and sign up to receive text messages regarding posted snow emergencies. It will tell you when a snow emergency is going in affect and when it is lifted. You will never have to worry about missing a snow emergency and worry about your car being ticketed and towed.

Mayor Schlegel has declared a Snow Emergency starting at 8:00 AM Wednesday 21 March 2018. All cars must be moved off the posted Snow Emergency routes or they will be ticketed and towed.

The snow emergency will be lifted at 6:00 PM Wednesday March 7th. Thanks to all that moved your vehicles so we could keep our streets safe!! SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES

Construction is being done by UGI Utilities at different locations in the Borough. You will experience detours for several weeks. Please support our downtown businesses during this time. They will all be accessible, but from different routes. They need your support to keep operating. We have no control over this construction, but we are attempting to work with the traffic planners to make this work for everyone. Please be patient and support your local businesses.

We are honored to have Conner Mickelson with us for a special ride along with Officer Best today. Conner is very interested in becoming a Police Officer and we are happy to help him learn more about his career goals. Good luck Conner!!

Just a reminder to Front and 2nd Street residents, tomorrow Nov 7th is the first Tuesday of the month, so parking is restricted on the West side of Front St and the East side of 2nd Street from 0800-1000. Please make sure your cars are moved.

The Catasauqua Police Department will be participating in National Take Back Day Saturday October 28 2017 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Drop off will be in the lobby of our new headquarters at 90 Bridge Street. Park in front and use the Police Department Entrance. Please dispose of any unused or expired medication.

The Catasauqua Police Department is sad to announce the passing of Patrol Officer Wendy Brantley on Friday 11 August 2017. Wendy was retired from the Allentown Police Department and was employed by the Lehigh County Coroners Office and was a part time officer with our department. She will be missed by all that knew her and the entire Catasauqua community. God speed Wendy, until we meet again­čś¬

After 41 yrs, the Catasauqua Police Department will be moving to our new headquarters at 90 Bridge Street. We will be operational at the new building on Monday 31 July 2017 at 0800 hrs. Our phones will be forwarded to Lehigh County Radio until Tuesday 1 August 2017. Temporary inconvenience for a permanent improvement. Thank you for your understanding during our move.

The Catasauqua Police Department will be holding a drug take back on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 10:00a.m.-2:00p.m. at the Catasauqua Police Department headquarters. This an opportunity to properly and safely dispose of unused/unwanted prescription and over the counter medications. This event is for anyone to attend- even those who live outside of Catasauqua Borough. Please note that syringes and other sharps are not able to be accepted. We would also like to remind our residents that the Catasauqua Police Department has a medication disposal container in our front lobby which can be accessed at any time to dispose of unused/unwanted medications.
