Citizen's Police Academy - Range Day

Tonight is trick or treat night for Lower Nazareth Twp! 6pm-8pm. Please watch out for passing motorists and kids crossing the streets.

CRPD officers to participate in No-Shave November. The chief of police has waived the strict facial hair policy to allow participating officers the opportunity to grow their facial hair for a good cause. Each participating officer is making a donation, and at the end of the month all donations will be collected and donated to the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley, Inc. This month long nationwide event is held to fundraise for cancer charities. It brings importance to the fact that often when people go through chemotherapy treatments, a side effect is that they lose their hair. So all participants are encouraged to forego their monthly shaving costs and donate the money to charity. We have chosen to donate our money to the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley, Inc. because they are a great organization that provides services and help to all families during all stages of children's cancer treatment. At the end of the month we will ask our Facebook followers to choose which officer has the best facial hair for a prize for the winning officer.

It starts at 7 PM at Main/Broad St. Runs west on Main St and then north on Chestnut St to end at Fireman's Field. The CRPD will be out in full force to keep the parade and people safe. If you see one of our bike officers, stop and say hi!!

This week the CRPD was honored to accept two donations of stuffed animals and teddy bears. Pictured is Sgt. Enstrom along with Michael J Prendeville who donated 5 boxes of stuffed animals. We also were given a dozen teddy bears that were stuffed and dressed by hand from Jaime Gerhart. These are kept in each patrol car and also in the station and are given out to children we interact with in our community. Often we are called to traumatic incidents where children are involved and it can be frightening, scary or sometimes confusing for kids. When we can take the time to give them a teddy bear, it helps them to feel less afraid and more comforted in an otherwise traumatic experience for them. From the officers and staff, THANK YOU!!

Recognize this vehicle? CRPD is trying to locate this vehicle after it was involved in a theft at Brown Daub Dodge Chrysler Jeep on Hecktown Road in Lower Nazareth Twp. on 10/8/17. Howdy partners! Do you recognize this cowboy? On August 20th around 3 AM this white male in his 20's entered the Walmart on Easton-Nazareth Highway in Lower Nazareth Township and proceeded to fill a shopping cart with merchandise. The male then broke into a locked storage shelf and stole two muzzle loader firearms. The male then left the store without paying for the merchandise. He was last seen driving away in a dark colored or gray SUV, possibly a GMC Arcadia type of SUV. The total value of the merchandise stolen was over $900. Help spread the word and lets pull the lasso tight on this thief! Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Mike Kovach at 610-861-4820 or you can private message us on here with more info. Anyone with tips can remain anonymous!
