Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Easton Police Department! Paxinosa School from the Easton Area School District, The Life Church of Easton & CISLV provided us gifts to hand out to children this Chistmas. We have been handing gifts right out of the police cars and at doorsteps! Santa has been wearing blue this weekend! It is with sadness that we as a Department look back 95 years ago today, December 19th, 1922, Easton Police Officer Rush Stehlin was shot and killed in the performance of his duties. Tonight! Tuesday December 19th, 2017 Two Rivers Brewing Company is naming a beer after PSP Trooper Seth Kelly. Trooper Kelly Saison is released @ 5pm! A huge thank you to Two Rivers Brewing for all of their support and hopes for a fast and full recovery for TPR. Kelly!

This past Saturday December 2nd, 2017, EPD presented 5 year old Alex Voelker, with the proceeds of our No Shave November fundraiser. Alex was recently diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma and has undergone aggressive treatments to fight this cancer. Alex met with officers, toured the station, was shown patrol vehicles - (his favorite part) and met EPD K9 Tako. In addition to the proceeds officers gave Alex a bunch of gifts. Keep up the fight Alex all of us here at EPD are behind you!

Tonight! 7p-8:30p in the Easton Area Middle School Auditorium in association with Easton and Palmer Kiwanis clubs, Easton Police present an Opioid Awareness presentation.

Easton Police Celebrated Halloween by conducting extra patrols and handing out Glow Sticks and trick or treat bags to all of the neighborhoods. We are glad that we had a fun and safe trick or treat night!

Somebody smell bacon? It's not us! PA Bacon fest is in town! Saturday November 4th, 2017 and Sunday November 5th, 2017 10a - 6p both days. Traffic in the downtown area is detoured due to the event. Alternate routes are suggested if not attending the event. Both City parking garages are open, $10 parking for the day. Be safe and enjoy!

Easton Police participated in the Cops-N-Kids Superheroes; real and imagined Story walk. Officers read to the kids at several stops along the walk. Thank you for the chance to get involved!

August 2017 was a busy month here at EPD. Officers made popcorn for kids at the Nevin Park Movie night hosted by the College Hill Neighborhood assoc. Officers worked the 4th annual Clam Jam. Officers received a thank you card from the Little Rovers Day Care and a certificate of recognition for helping stop deaths related to opioid addiction. Officers along with City and Easton School District officials participated in a dunk tank fund raiser at the 4th annual Clam Jam to benefit The Easton Ambassador Program. We presented the $659.02 earned from the dunk tank to the GEDP for the Easton Ambassadors!

Today, July 14th, 2017 We at the EPD got a special visitor! 9 year old Tyler Carach aka "Donut Boy" stopped in delivering donuts and appreciation for keeping everyone safe! Tyler has been on a tour delivering his message and tasty treats to law enforcement up and down the East coast. Thank You very much Tyler. We were glad to have you here today and we very much appreciate the support! A big thank you to Dunkin Donuts for donating the donuts to this cause. While he was here Tyler received a certificate of appreciation from Easton Mayor Sal Panto for his mission.

ALERT!!! June 13th, 2017, College Hill residents. Please be sure to lock your vehicles, cover, hide or take your valuables from your vehicles and do not leave your keys in the vehicle. It is a good practice to do the same for your homes. As of the time of this post there have been (5) reports of unlocked vehicles being rummaged through and items removed. There have been zero reports of locked vehicles being entered. Anyone with information, description of actors or security footage related to these or any other vehicle "break-ins" in this area please contact Det. EPD K9 conducting a demo at Meuser Park, Wilson Borough for Paws for a Cause, Last Saturday May 20th!

Police Week 2017! The events kicked off a bit early on May 9th at St. Anne School in Bethlehem. EPD and BPD served Pizza and ate lunch with the kids. May 17th Congratulations to Ofc. Joseph Arredondo for being the Easton Police Department 2017 Officer of the year. May 18th Cornerstone Church treated EPD to lunch and brought in subs! Thank you very much! Today we conducted a tour of our facility to children from the Third Street Alliance. And lastly we at EPD want to congratulate Det. Thomas Beiser on his retirement. Det. Beiser served with EPD since 2002.

Tuesday May 16th, 2017 Easton Police participated in a Buckle Up PA Grant Operation aimed at keeping drivers and pedestrians safe. Officers issued 47 traffic citations on W.Lafayette St. this morning. Drive carefully.

Thursday, May 11, 2017 Lafayette college will be conducting two "blasts" related to a groundbreaking ceremony at Anderson Courtyard. The blasts are ceremonial and not intended to shake the ground. There will be safety horns sounded prior to and just after the blasts signaling the area is all clear. These horns will be 10 seconds in duration each. The first blast is scheduled for 1pm today with horns sounding 1 minute before the blast then the all clear horns 2-3 minutes after the blasting. The second blast will occur between 530-6pm. The horns for this blast will sound at the beginning of the dedication ceremony and then the all clear horns 2-3 minutes after the blast.
