Minersville Police are seeking these individuals for an Aggravated Assault and Robbery that occurred in Minersville today at 1600 hrs. Ryan Patrick Artz, 20 and Jeremiah Leon Brown, 22 both of the Minersville area, are charged with Aggravated Assault, Robbery and related charges after allegedly assaulting a 20 year old Schuylkill Haven man in a wooded area of Minersville. Artz and Brown reportedly fled the area in a silver Buick sedan driven by another male. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Artz and/or Brown are asked to contact the Minersville Police Department at 570-544-2333. All information will remain confidential. PLEASE SHARE!! UPDATE: Artz has turned himself into the Minersville Police Department and is no longer wanted. There is still an actice arrest warrant for Jeremiah Leon Brown. UPDATE: Jeremiah Brown was captured inside a home in Minersville this morning and placed in the Schuylkill County Prison on $50,000 cash bail.

If you park in this lot to attend the Curran Hotel or any other area businesses you will be ticketed $25.00. Please do not park in the lot unless you currently posses a parking permit which must be displayed in your window. We are seeking any individuals that may have documents, photographs or artifacts relative to the history of the Minersville Police Department. ALERT ALERT ALERT Please make sure your car is locked when you park it for the evening. Someone is going through the Borough and checking the doors of parked vehicles to see if they are unlocked. Unlocked vehicles are then ransacked for money, ipods, etc. These thefts are occurring during the overnight hours. If you see anything suspicious please call police immediately.
