Salisbury's Trick or Treat will be held October 27th from 6pm to 7 pm. Have a safe, and fun evening

Meyersdale Borough Police and Thomas Drug Store will be hosting The Drug Take Back Program on October 28th from 10am to 2pm at Thomas Drug Store. Bring all your unwanted or out dated prescriptions for safe disposal.

Meyersdale's Trick Or Treat will be held on Saturday October 28th from 2pm to 5pm. Have a great time and be safe. Looking forward to seeing all the wonderful costumes.

In 2015, 12.5 million people mis-used prescription opioids and 33,091 individuals died from an opioid overdose. Conemaugh Meyersdale Medical Center will be presenting an educational seminar at 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, September 7 at the Meyersdale Area High School Auditorium on this very serious issue facing communities across the country. The panel discussion will be led by Somerset County District Attorney Lisa Lazzari-Strasiser. She will be joined by the following professionals: Justyn Patton, Certified Recovery Specialist; Jeffrey Doman and John Loiodici, Somerset County Detectives; Tiffany Stanley, Attorney and Conflict Counsel for the Courts; Dan Colflesh, Meyersdale Borough Police Chief; and Brian Harbart, Somerset Borough Police Officer and K-9 A.J.

The Somerset County Sheriff's Department and the Meyersdale Borough Police Department will be providing free child identification kits for area youngsters during the 2017 Somerset County Fair. Sheriff Brad Cramer and his Deputies, along with Meyersdale Police Chief Dan Colflesh, Mayor Michael Brant and Officers will be on hand to provide fingerprint and DNA kits each evening. Stop by and visit our booth, located beside the Fair office!

The Mayor of Meyersdale, Michael Brant, and the Meyersdale Police Department will be hosting a Bike Rodeo At 9 a.m. on Saturday July 29. Free to all area youth, ages 4-14 this event will feature safety demonstrations, activities, and give-aways! Refreshments will be served and the police will be offering free Child Safety ID cards. Registration begins at 8 a.m. The Bike Rodeo will be held in the parking lot below the Family Dollar, Prizes to be given away include 8 bicycles, helmets, toys, safety equipment and much more.

Thomas Drug Store & Meyersdale Police will hold a drug drop off today from 10am-2pm at Thomas Drug. Store. Bring all your old or unwanted prescriptions for safe disposal.

Meyersdale residents, there is a high probability that electric in the uptown area may be out for several hours due to damage to an electric pole. Residents may want to find an alternative place to stay this evening. If you know of elderly or sickly people in this part of town please look in on them

Meyersdale's Trick or Treat Parade is Saturday October 29th at 2;00 pm. Trick or Treat is from 3pm to 5pm. Residents who wish to participate are requested to leave their porch lights on. Meyersdale Police will be patrolling to insure the safety of our residents.

The Meyersdale Borough Police were honored to represent Meyersdale at the Red Ribbon Week ceremony this morning at the Court House. Congratulations to all the local contest winners.

Effective as of October 7 2016 Meyersdale Borough Police now has jurisdiction of the Meyersdale Area High, Middle, and Elementry School's and surrounding properties owned by the school district, unless Summit Township is in service. We look forward to serving the School District and maintaining a safe learning environment for students.
