The Drug Take Back Day was very successful. The Ashland City Location collected 118 lbs of prescribed medication (pills). The Ashland City Police department would like to clarify comments and posting made about the death of a dog called “Molly”. The investigation is being conducted by the Cheatham County Sheriff department as the owner of the dog lives in the county but has an Ashland City address. I did find out this morning that the investigation is still active.

Public Notification. Cheatham County 911 Center has issued a warning of flash flood watch from 7 am Thursday - 7 pm Friday. Heavy rainfall will increase the potential for flash flooding. Public notice. On September 2, 2017 the Marrowbone Bridge located on Hwy 12 South of Ashland City will be dedicated to the Vietnam Veterans. The service will start at the Court house lawn at 10 am then proceed to the Marrowbone bridge for the dedication. We want to caution all citizens driving in the area to be aware of traffic congestion for a short period of time. Officers will be posted to assist with traffic and assist citizens. Please, slow down as much as possible going thru this short distance. Your help in keeping our community and citizens safe is always greatly appreciated.

A big THANK YOU to the EMS director and the assistant director who provided transportation to the public from their car to the park. On this date, July 12,2017 around 8:00 am, Tony Nicholson, 32 years of age was arrested and charged with Aggravated Burglary following the report of a home invasion on Turner street in Ashland City, TN. Two people were asleep in the house when entry was made. Suspect was apprehended and held by the home owner and a friend until police arrive. Investigation continues.

We are requesting your assistance in following the rules the Bethesda Center has for bringing and unloading property at their location in Ashland City. The Alley gets partially blocked and looks like a dump. The center welcomes all donations but let's be responsible . I' sure if you call them ahead of time they will be glad to assist.
