Ringing in the New Year: In the next few days we will ring in 2018. As part of the celebration, fireworks are often included. The Tullahoma City Ordinance, 7-613(2), provides for the limited discharge of fireworks. The ordinance provides fireworks are permissible four hours prior to the new year (8 pm to midnight), and then one hour after the new year (up until 1 am). Be courteous of your neighbors and limit the fireworks to the permitted times. To report complaints about fireworks, call 455-3411. As always, in an emergency dial 911. Have a happy holiday but be mindful of the ordinances, fire hazards, and personal injuries.
