Trenton Peabody High School Mock Crash 2018

It was an honor to meet Senator Bob Corker today at Trenton City Hall.

Trenton Police Department would like to announce the appointment of our new Chief of Police, Mr. Bill Cusson. He took office today and we look forward to him leading our department. Congratulations Chief Cusson!

Today Officers of the Trenton Police Department participated in Dr. Seuss Week at Trenton Elementary School. Officers read to Pre-K, Kindergarten, First and Second Grade classes. We’re not sure who enjoyed the reading time more the Officers or the kids!

This dog was picked up early this morning in the area of South College St. if anyone know who this dog belongs to please contact the Trenton Police Department.

Deandre and Cameron Banks were arrested yesterday at approximately 5:00 pm at a residence in Springfield, IL. The Trenton Police Department, working closely with the US Marshal's Service, developed information that both suspects were at a residence in Springfield, IL. The US Marshal's Service, working through their partner agencies in Illinois, were able to confirm the information. The US Marshal's Service acted quickly on the information and made the arrests. Both Cameron and Deandre Banks are being held at the Sangamon County Sheriff's Department in Illinois awaiting extradition. Both are scheduled to appear in court today. The Trenton Police Department strives to develop and maintain close working relationships with local, state and federal partners. This arrest is an example of local, state and federal agencies working together to quickly apprehend dangerous fugitives. The Trenton Police Department would like to thank the citizens who assisted us during this investigation. We have received many tips and are diligently working through them. We would also like to thank the US Marshal's Service for their assistance in apprehending these fugitives.

We have extended the deadline for applications for the communications officer position until January 23, 2018.

There will be no school tomorrow OR Friday for TSSD students due to hazardous road conditions and parking lots. Classes WILL RESUME on Monday morning, January 22nd. Be safe!!

The weather today and tonight will be extremely cold. Over this past weekend our officers have been doing numerous welfare checks on citizens in Trenton.
