Centerville Police Department News

The Centerville Police Department would like to take a moment to extend our gratitude and appreciation for the veterans who have served in all branches of the U.S. armed forces. We are very thankful for the sacrifices you all have made to defend the freedoms and rights for the land that we all love and call home! We salute you all!! THANK YOU!!!

Attn citizens: Once again it's that time of the year where our officers will look a little out of character as they let their facial hair grow. The donations collected from each officer participating will be given to a charity of choice. So as the month continues on pardon the officers as they hide the razor becoming scruffy/wooly for a good cause. To all participating in No Shave November time to let it grow! Thanks!!

Happy Halloween !!! The Centerville Police Department would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Halloween. Please be careful while Trick or Tricking tonight. We will have extra officers out tonight, if you have any problems or concerns, please let us know.

The Centerville Police Department would like to thank the Centerville Methodist Church for providing an appreciation lunch for officers and first responders, today. Thank You so much

Once again we can't say thank you enough to everyone who made yesterday's training possible. Citizens/Parents thank you for reading our post before hand and spreading the message so that panic did not strike throughout the community. Also parents thank you for allowing your children to partcipate as mock drills are vital in emergency preparedness. The day was successful overall. Each department did see a few kinks in their duty, but not major kinks just polishing up the small things. No small kinks will go unoticed or worked on when it comes to ensuring the children's safety. Once again we run the drills in order to find the kinks so we can fix them through more training hours. Huge shout out to the teaching staff along with the students who knew exactly what they needed to do when the moment hit! Thank you!

ATTN Citizens/Parents: Tomorrow morning the Hickman County Special Response Team along with Hickman County EMS, City Fire, Hickman County Sheriffs, and other officers from our department will be helping the Board Of Education conduct one of their many drills they have to practice throughout the year at Centerville Intermediate School. Please do not be alarmed tomorrow as you may see/hear several lights and sirens in the area because we will be responding as we would in a real time scernario. Parents if you feel that your child feels uneasy about this drill this evening or in the morning please take a moment and reassure them that everything is going to be fine, that the drill has been planned for weeks now, the officers responding are the same ones that met with the children showing them some of our gear we can utilize, and of course that the bad guy is actually our friendly neighborhood sergeant Danny Roberts! Thank you to all in advance that will take part in tomorrow's drill!

What a day!!! Thank you to the Hickman County Board of Education and Centerville Intermediate school for the invitation to take part in the kids day! Also, thank you to SRO, Vincent Coates, for planning the events of our visit! Hickman County SRT members, other officers from our department, and Hickman County Sheriff's Office spent time talking to the children about what to do in certain situations. Then the children walked around getting to see some of the equipment used by our Special Response Team. The day went successful, better than we could have imagined! Not sure who had more fun the kids or the officers, but there were a lot of smiles and high fives going around! Again thank you to all who made this day possible, and a HUGE SHOUT OUT to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office Special Operation's Department for dropping in with Huey!

The Centerville Police Department would like to thank Cash Express and their employees for the continued support of our Officers and Emergency Personnel on 9-11 every year. Remembering all those who sacrificed their lives to save others. Thank You!

On Tuesday May 2nd, 2017 Centerville Elementary Pre-K class visited with some of our Police Officers along with Lt. Cody Woods and Sheriff Randel Ward of the Hickman County Sheriff's Office. Sgt. Danny Roberts spoke with the kids about safety such as wearing seat belts, bicycle helmets, how to dial 911 in an emergency, etc. Then the kids walked through an exhibit of our patrol cars testing out the lights and sirens.πŸš”πŸš” We look forward to this day each and every year thank you to all who help make this happen! We hope the kids had as much fun as we did!!!
