Attention: THIS IS A DRILL! Starting at 10:00AM on 11/14/2017 Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems of Lawrenceburg,TN will be hosting a training scenario for law enforcement and other emergency services at the Hospital itself. This is a active shooter training scenario. THIS IS A DRILL. The Lawrenceburg Police Department along with other emergency services will be responding to this training scenario. We ask that any and all citizens DO NOT PANIC and remain calm. The Hospital will be continuing care and services as normal during this training scenario. All emergency services and other services will still be available and open to the public. Lawrence County Central Dispatch and all emergency services in this area are aware of the scenario. THIS IS A DRILL!

Veterans Day Parade update: The new route will begin on Mahr Ave and continue south to Waterloo St, turn left onto Waterloo St to the square, then continue east on Pulaski St.

LFD fire crews are actively working a fire scene at the Lawrenceburg Antique Auction building on North Military Ave, please avoid this area while crews remain on scene. We will announce a decision on the potential effect this will have on the Veterans Day Parade which is scheduled to begin at 11am today. At this point, rerouting of this portion of the parade is a very likely possibility. Stay tuned...

On 9/8/17 Performance Feed was broken into and vandalized. A fire extinguisher was used to vandalize the property. Two male subjects can be seen below on video and pictures during the incident. Neither suspect has been identified at this time. On 8/28/17 Dunkin's Market (916 N. Locust Ave.) was broken into around 11:30PM. Two male subjects can be seen on both video and pictures. Approximately $526 was stolen from the business during this incident. The identity of the two subjects is unknown at this time. Public Announcement: During the Middle Tn District Fair the following "No Parking" areas and traffic routes will be in place to insure pedestrian safety around the fairgrounds during fair hours. Mahr Ave will be closed to northbound traffic at Jackson Street and to southbound traffic at Morrow Street to allow traffic to constantly move along the fairground perimeter. No curbside parking will be allowed along the following streets: *Hicks Street and Remke Ave from North Military Ave to ERCU (both sides) *North side of Jackson Street between North Military Ave and Mahr Ave *North Military Ave from Guard Drive to Weakly Creek Rd (both sides)

Update: Nicky Johns has been apprehended. BOLO: Anyone with information regarding the location of Murder suspect Nicky Joe Johns please call Lawrenceburg Police at (931)762-2276 or (931)762-0450 or submit tips to LPD Facebook page. Johns is believed to be driving a 2013 Ford Taurus with tinted windows which is stolen from Lawrenceburg (see generic photo below). The vehicle is believed to have Mississippi license plate GEV638. Press release from Ocean Springs Police Dept: On September 4th 2017 at 1552hrs (3:52pm) it was reported that a dead body was in the parking lot of the Travel Lodge Hotel here in the City of Ocean Springs. Officers arrived on scene and observed a white male face down in the parking lot with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head. While members from the Criminal Investigation Division were processing the crime scene at the Travel Lodge, the Jackson County Sheriff Department contacted Ocean Springs Police Department that their office was notified of a female at a convenience store in their jurisdiction had information on a possible murder here in the City of Ocean Springs. The witness to the crime of murder was interviewed a gave the Criminal Investigations Division a name of the suspect that committed the crime of murder. (Nicky J. Johns; dob: 07-15-1980; 1524 E. Burt Dr., Columbia, TN) it is believed that Nicky J. Johns is possibly traveling in a newer model blue Ford Taurus, unknown what direction of travel at this time. The victim identity will not be released until next of kin can be notified. Nicky J. John is currently listed on the National Crime Information Center as a wanted person for Murder.
