Thank you Lomax Christian Day-school for allowing us to come in and have some fun with the kiddos. We learned about stranger danger and gun safety. Those sweet smiles make our day and jobs much easier. Parents, please feel free to share and use these photos.

Also thanks goes out to the Hohenwald Fire Department. It was very hot out there and they made sure we had plenty of water in a cooler. Thanks Steve Vineyard and Ryan Johnston.

The scene on Smith Ave. and Talley St. is clear of law enforcement. A clean up crew is on scene so please do not stop by the residence. Also please pray for the family and give them the privacy they deserve as they work through these trying times. Thank you all for your consideration. Thank you citizens of Hohenwald and Lewis Co. for being patient through the last 2 days.

Smith Ave. has reopened. Please be considerate and do not drive slow or stop at the scene. We do not need any accidents or people stopping. This is still an ongoing investigation so please be considerate.

Smith Ave. is still shut down from Hinson St. To Darbytown Rd. until further notice. Please take an alternate route unless you are local. If you live in this area that is shut down please take 412 West to Darbytown Rd. to get home. Thank you for your consideration and cooperation.

Until further notice. Smith St. @ Walnut to Smith St. @ Darbytown will be closed to all traffic other than local. Please seek an alternate route if possible.

Wednesday was a great day to enjoy pizza and some good laughs with Mrs. Keltner's kindergarten class. Parents, be proud because these kids are awesome!

Today we all had a lot of fun with a great group of sixth graders for the annual L.E.A.P graduation. For those who don't know what L.E.A.P stands for, it means law enforcement awareness plan. This course was to make them aware of gun safety, the affects of social media, drug abuse and many other lessons. They graduated, ate, and took part in the rival kickball game against the "old guys". It turns out these "old guys" still have some skills as we beat the graduates 28-3, not that we were keeping score. Im sure there will be many of these guys who will need an ice pack or two over the next few days. 😅 A big THANK YOU to everyone who made this day happen for these kids, especially our SRO's Kip Kelsey and David Henley! Parents, please feel free to share!

Also we have a lost and found box with many wallets, purses, keys, an Ipad and many other misc. items. If you have lost any of these items we may have it.
