Loudon Police Department News

It has been brought to our attention lately that there is a problem with a local Convenience store selling alcoholic beverages to minors. A couple weeks ago investigators conducted an operation where we sent an underage individual (not a minor) into this establishment to attempt to purchase alcohol. This was successful and the clerk was cited into court. We continued to receive complaints from parents, so tonight we went back to the same establishment, For the same purpose. Again we were successful with the same clerk. Due to the continued problems tonight he was placed under arrest and booked into the Loudon County Jail. Our hope is that this will remedy the problem. During the course of this investigation we were made aware of the availability of very legitimate looking false identification from Chinese Internet sites. In the interest of trying to work together to solve this issue we recommend that if you suspect your child of being involved in underage consumption, you may want to check for the presence of one of these fake ID's.

On the morning of the 10th of May if anyone encountered a young African American female walking in the area of the old Depot I would like to speak with you. She would have been wearing a bright peach colored tank top and acting very suspiciously. She is a suspect in a serious crime and during a interview she claims to have spoke with a white male out for a morning walk in that area. This would have been around 8am to 9am Thanks Detective: Brian Jenkins
