Stolen 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck: On March 30, 2018 the Police Department received a report of a stolen City truck from the Wastewater Facilities located on South Cross Bridges Road. The truck was last seen at the wastewater plant around 10:45 am earlier that morning. The picture below is not of the actual truck. The truck in this picture is the same year, model, style, and color of the one that was stolen. The stolen vehicle did not have a tool box in the bed of the truck. If anyone has any information in this case, please call the Mount Pleasant Police Department at 931-379-3201. We also have a "Silent Witness" link on our website. We appreciate everyone's help in getting this truck returned to the owner.

Public Notice The City of Mount Pleasant is accepting applications for a full time Dispatcher with the Mount Pleasant Police Department. An application can be secured at the Mount Pleasant City Hall during regular business hours or online. We will be accepting applications until the positions are filled. All applicants must have a valid Tennessee operator’s license and a high school diploma or certified GED/USAFI equivalent. Successful applicants will be required to obtain certification in NCIC/TIES. The week of April 8th is Telecommunications Appreciation Week. The City wants to celebrate these professionals by recognizing our telecommunicators for the job they do day to day. They answer calls from citizens who are in crisis and emergency situations, sometimes indescribable. Our telecommunicators do this with compassion and kindness. The Mount Pleasant Police Department named Sergeant Brian Gray as our Officer of the Year. Sergeant Gray was awarded his honor at the Knights of Columbus Banquet that was held on February 17, 2018. Sergeant Gray has been in law enforcement since April of 2000. He began his career with the Mount Pleasant Police Department until June of 2002 when he accepted a position with the Columbia Police Department. Sergeant Gray returned to Mount Pleasant in July of 2015. Sergeant Gray has extensive training in many areas of law enforcement. His experience has been an asset to our department and the officers who work with him. We hope you all will join us in congratulating Sergeant Gray for this prestigious and well deserved award. .
