The Spring City Police Department would like to remind all citizens that we are observing Halloween on October 31st from 5:30pm till 8:30pm . We will be closing both West Rhea Avenue and West Jackson Avenue again this year , Both streets will be open to pedestrian traffic only, Residents who live on these streets will be the only ones permitted to travel by motorized vehicles during these hours . Cash Street will remain open from Picadilly Avenue to First Babtist Church on West Jackson Avenue , All streets need to be cleared by 9:00p.m We hope each and everyone has a Safe and Happy Halloween .

Drug Take Back : We will be having a drug take back in front of Spring City Police Department on October 28th from 10:00A.M. till 2:00P.M.. During this time you can bring any medicine and drop it off :

The Tennessee Highway Safety office is partnering with the Spring City Police Department to increase Drunk Driving Enforcement LABOR Day Weekend.The end of Summer is traditionally marked by labor day holiday , a time our country reflects on the hard work of our fellow Americans ,The long week end is celebrated by picnics, barbecues, pool parties , as families get together and enjoy the last few days of summer .Sadly LABOR DAY is The DEADLIEST with Drunk Drivers endangering themselves as well as others. This year Spring City Police Dept is partnering is partnering with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Too stop Drunk Drivers and save lives. The high-Visibility national enforcement campaign DRIVE SOBER OR GET PULLED OVER runs from August 16th through September 4th 2017.Statistics show a frightening trend in drunk driving , in 2016, 10,265 where killed in drunk driving related crashes , 78 percent of those crashes occurred during the hours of 6:00p.m and 5:59a.m . There are No Excuses For Drunk Driving . The Spring City Police Department recommends safe alternatives . Remember its never okay to drink and drive , Even if you had one alcoholic beverage , designate a sober driver or plan to use public transportation to get you home safely. Have a friend about too drive drunk, take the keys away from them and make arrangements to get your friend home safely. We have had two class rings turned in , If you where in the class of 1999 or 1971 and can give detailed information regarding these rings we would like to return them to their owners . Please contact the Police Department and speak to Chief Neal .
