This will take place tomorrow night. We recommend everyone make preparations for the power outage.

The city has spoken with the National Weather Service in regards to the predicted weather for Saturday. Unfortunately the Kingston Street Fest scheduled for this Saturday is cancelled due to the high percentage of rain that is expected. The new date for the Kingston Street Fest is set for April 14th.

From Kingston Public Works: Roads in Kingston are becoming dangerous. We are doing what we can, but as the temperature continues to drop, driving conditions will worsen. At this time, we are recommending that you do NOT travel unless absolutely necessary. If you must travel, please allow extra time and DRIVE SLOWLY.

The Roane County Courthouse at this time will be on a 2 hour delay for tomorrow, January 17th. We will post an update if this changes in the morning.

Kingston Public Works is currently treating the roadways in preparation for the possible snow tomorrow morning. Current time frame for the weather to start moving in is 6am-9am. We will keep you posted as we receive updates.
