***Road Closing*** CSX Transportation is going to be closing down Enon Springs Road on Wednesday, February 28, at about 10:00 pm. The road will be paved on Thursday morning, March 1, starting at about 8 am and the road will be opened back up at about noon. This is a rough timeline, so this is give or take some time. The detour will be from Enon Springs to Hazelwood Dr. to McNickle Drive or Washington Street to US 41. Please urge traffic to follow the signs that are posted. CSX apologizes of the inconvenience while they are making their repairs to the tracks, but they will leave the tracks safer and in much better condition than before the repairs were made. They also apologize for any noise that they may make during this process. They will be working at night, so please be prepared to have some noise being this is a construction site.

This suspect is wanted in connection with an auto burglary out of Metro and the fraudulent use of a credit card from the Walmart in Smyrna after the victim’s purse was taken during the course of the burglary. They claim you have an arrest warrant against you and you must pay money or officers will come and take you to jail.............This is not true. If you receive a call or email like this hang up the phone or delete the email. Never give someone your credit card or debit card information. Scammers claiming to be from the Internal Revenue Service will use similar tactics to steal your money as well. Again, never provide your financial information to anyone claiming to be from the IRS or police department. If you are not sure, please contact us at 615-459-6644 and ask to speak with an officer. We will quickly be able to advise if you are being contacted for a legitimate purpose..........we will never contact you requesting money for any reason.
On January 22, 2018 at approximately 01:20 AM these subjects entered the Citgo gas station located at 251 N. Lowry Street in Smyrna and brandished a black in color assault rifle and attempted to rob the store. They left the store and got into an unknown vehicle which was waiting for them in the parking lot near the boost mobile store a few hundred feet away. Anyone who may have information as to the identity of the two individuals is asked to contact Detective Allan Nabours at (615) 267-5434.
On Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at approximately 2:05 pm, an unknown subject entered Big Charlie’s Bait Shop in Smyrna and stole the clerk’s red I-Phone 8 cellphone. The suspect is described as a dark complected black male, 5’6’’ to 5’7” tall, and around 20 years old. The subject purchased Newport cigarettes while in the business, and he walked to and from the establishment. TRAFFIC ALERT!! Due to a water main break, Sam Ridley Parkway is closed between G Street and Nolan Drive. Sections of the road are covered in ice. Repairs are being made and we are attempting to clear the ice but motorists should expect delays for several hours. Please seek alternate routes.

YOUR HELP MATTERS In March of 2016, a shooting occurred outside the Singha Bar and Grill. The investigation led to the arrest of Dejavone Lee Woods for the shooting. He was recently found guilty by a Rutherford County jury of Attempted Manslaughter and Employing a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony. Smyrna Police would like to thank the public for helping us identify Woods from the initial media release surrounding this incident.

SUSPECTS IN AUTO BURGLARY These individuals are suspects related to an auto burglary that occurred near Publix on Sam Ridley Parkway on 12/19/17. Credit cards were stolen during the burglary and used by these two suspects at Nordstrom in Green Hills. On 12/2/17 and 12/4/17 numerous vehicles were broke into in the Smyrna area. The below shown individual used some of the credit cards from those burglaries at different Walmart stores in Nashville. RECOGNIZE THESE SUSPECTS? On December 5, 2017 the pictured individuals took Power Beats headphones from the AT&T Wireless Store in Smyrna. The suspects are two black females. One suspect is described as heavy or pregnant with long breaded hair. She was wearing a white top, black pants and black/white Adidas shoes. She placed the stolen items in a large brown purse. The second suspect was wearing glasses, had long straight hair, wearing a gray toboggan with a Nike swoosh and a shirt with the word “PINK” on the back. She placed the stolen items in a large pink purse. These individuals have been linked to shoplifting at the AT&T store in Murfreesboro, TN.
