Oneida Police Department News

Happy New Year!

Shop with a cop will be held on December 19. We will be accepting donations until then. Donations can be brought to the Police department or taken to United Cumberland Bank. Last year we took over 130 kids shopping and we expect to have that many or more this year. Your donations make this possible. THANK YOU!!!

These are waiting to be found. Please return to OPD for a reward. Scott county rocks

Shop with a cop was amazing again this year. Last night we had the pleasure of taking 135 children Christmas shopping. We would like to say THANK YOU to the businesses and individuals who contributed. Your donations made this our biggest year yet. Without you this event would not happen. A small department like ours could never have an event this big without a lot of help! We would like to say thanks to our brothers and sisters from the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Tennessee Highway Patrol, National Park Service, Tennessee State Parks, Kentucky State Police and McCreary County Sheriff’s Department, and to all the volunteers who came out to help. A special thanks to Oneida WALMART and the staff there who make this possible! We hope that each of you feel as blessed as we do to have been a part of this and we wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas!

The Robbins Headstart class came by to visit this week. They enjoyed meeting our K-9 Karma.

We added 60 new Jr. Officers this morning! Thanks to the Oneida Pre-K for stopping by.

We had a great visit last week from the headstart class at Fairview school.

We are asking for assistance in identifying this person. He is suspect in the theft of a mower from Northstar on 9/11/2016.

THANK YOU to New Haven Baptist Church for providing lunch for all emergency service workers today. You kindness is greatly appreciated.
