This morning at 4:09am, Belton Fire and Police Departments responded to 2200 block of West Highway 190 Service Road for a structure fire. Upon their arrival, the residence was fully engulfed. After extinguishing the fire, a deceased person was located in the bathroom of the residence. The Belton Fire Department was assisted by Central Bell County Fire and Rescue. This incident is currently under investigation by the Belton Fire and Police Departments, and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

*Update* The roadway has been opened. #BPDTrafficAlert: BFD is clearing a structure fire in the 2200 block of West Highway 190 (I-14). The SR will be closed at the 190/Kegley. Please prepare for delays or consider alternate routes.
