Update and Arrest
Murder Investigation – West Beeline Lane & South Roy Reynolds Drive
At approximately 02:38 AM, February 10th, 2018, Harker Height Police received a call of shots fired in the vicinity of South Roy Reynolds Drive and West Beeline Lane. While en route, the call was updated to a subject shot. Upon arrival Officers saw a black male laying down in the middle of West Beeline Lane at the intersection of South Roy Reynolds Drive with other people waving down the Officer. The black male was not breathing and did not have a pulse so Officers began CPR. During the CPR it was seen the black male had multiple gunshot wounds, with one in his neck. Harker Heights EMS arrived on scene and attempted life-saving measures; however, the victim succumbed to the fatal wounds.
Evidence from the investigation revealed the suspect and an arrest warrant for murder was attained and issued by Justice of the Peace Claudia Brown.
At approximately 08:36AM, 02/20/2018, (Tuesday Morning), Parish Dionte Young, a 25 year old black male from Killeen, surrendered himself to the Harker Heights Police Department.
Parish Young was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke for Murder with a $1,000,000.00 bond set.
Parish Young is currently being held at the Harker Heights Police Department until he is transported to the Bell County Jail later on today.
