The Texas Department of Public Safety-Physical Fitness and Readiness Testing Instructor Development Program is a 6-week course designed to prepare future instructors with current fitness industry information. Congratulations Officer David Fawcett for completing the Advanced Physical Fitness and Readiness Assessment Instructor Training Program.

After 30 years of service, it’s been an honor and privilege to have Sergeant Steve Hart work for the Castle Hills Police Department. Retirement is not the end but just the beginning of new adventures. We will miss you and thank you for all that you’ve done! Sergeant Steve Hart, you are now 10-42. Thank you!

Sgt. Hart, Corporal Munoz, Officer Fawcett, and Rose Cortez filled the bed of a truck this morning with the donations for the San Antonio Food Bank. The Food Bank will provide food for the evacuees staying locally in San Antonio. Extra items will be sent to Food Banks in the areas affected by Hurricane Harvey. A special thank you to former Mayor Joyce Buie for organizing the food drive at city hall! If you would like to bring donations to Castle Hills city hall we will continue to be a collection point for the next few weeks. The SA Food Bank's most wanted items are nonperishable food, water, baby food, diapers, flashlights and batteries, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies. Please bring these items to city hall located at 209 Lemonwood Drive. If you are looking for additional ways to help, University Hospital is hosting a blood drive today from 7 am to 7 pm at: 4502 Medical Drive, Rio Tower, 3rd Floor, San Antonio, TX 78229.
