When you see Officer Tarrant out and about, please introduce yourself and make her feel welcome as she patrols the city and works to keep our citizens safe.

AMNESTY WARRANT ROUNDUP: Thursday March 1, 2018 the Municipal Court will have extended hours until 10 p.m. in order for individuals to take care of their outstanding warrants. Individuals who voluntarily appear will not be arrested. This will give the opportunity for reduction of fines. Congrats to our cookoff team. They did really well for their first cookoff. 1st place fajitas, 2nd place brisket, 3rd place ribs, 4th place chicken. Way to go guys!

38 grams of crack cocaine removed from the streets in Clute today during a traffic stop. Good job Officer Winebrenner.

Clute PD Blue Santa helped 23 families with 49 kids this year. Depending on their needs, families received toys, clothes, bicycles, food, household items, gift certificates and more. We could not do this without the help of our many donors. A great big thank you to The Rock Church and Brian Barber, Temple Baptist Church, Soul Network Church, Natalie Woolsey Toy Drive and Josie LaChance, Diane Krock, Dan & Pat Kessner, Bob Shaw, Dollar General on Plantation, Clute Lions Club, Kelly Contractors, Getchasum Nutrition, and The Solis family. Here are a few of the families who will have an amaxing Christmas because of you.

Clute PD Chief Fitch proudly swore in 4 new officers today (well sorta new for 2 of them). Welcome back Sgt. Jesse Garza and Sgt. Jimmie Sparks and welcome to our newest 2 officers...Shawn Critchlow and Mikael Walden. We are excited to have these 4 men on our team.

Due to the inclement weather this week, we are making some changes to the Christmas in the Park. The event will only be held on Friday night from 5:00-9:00 PM and Saturday from 4:00-9:00 PM at the Clute Municipal Park. Thursday night is cancelled. We will post any other changes.

Our deepest thoughts and prayers for the family and the Department of the San Marcos Police Officer that was fatally shot while serving a warrant this afternoon. Pray for protection of all Law Enforcement.

Clute Police cleaning up the streets this stash of marijuana, marijuana plants, mushrooms, crystal meth, pills, and drug paraphernalia out of the hands of our youth and off of our streets. Good job Cpl. Crum, Officer Haynes, and Officer Soraiz.

Clute Police Department is currently accepting applications for Patrol Officer. Applicants must be TCOLE certified or currently enrolled in a law enforcement academy. We will be testing for these positions on December 7th. Applications must be turned in by December 5th. If applicants have questions, please contact Capt. Fitch or Sgt. Rickman at 979-265-6194. Blue Santa is currently underway. Reminder that applications need to be in by November 30, 2017. If anyone would like to make donations of new unwrapped toys, gift cards or can goods please bring items to the Clute Police Department by December 1, 2017. All help is greatly appreciated!!
