The Manvel Police Department has been receiving complaints about contract workers entering the back yards of residences in the Rodeo Palms Subdivision. We have investigated these complaints and have found these contractors are boring and installing fiber optic lines. The boring company is a contract company for AT&T. These contractors are identified by reflective vests and high visibility clothing. Throughout Rodeo Palms there is a 7.5 foot utility easement at the back of each lot where public utilities are placed to service the residence on the block. Contract workers are allowed access to private property to maintain, repair, inspect and install equipment in these utility easements. As a resident, if you see a contract worker in your back yard and you do not feel his presence is for the prescribed work in the easement, contact the Manvel Police Department at 281-489-1212.
