TRAFFIC INFORMATION: The railroad lines that run parallel with Saginaw Blvd are having technical issues with crossing gate switches. In turn this is causing railroad arms to come down when trains are not present and traffic control signals to go to flashing red. We are working with TXDOT, BNSF and UP Railroads for corrective actions.

TRAFFIC SIGNAL INFORMATION: As part of the tie in of the E. Bailey Boswell Rd project to Saginaw Blvd, the signal lights at the Saginaw Blvd and Boswell Rd intersection are scheduled to be flashing red in all directions, Tuesday, Feb 27th from about 10 AM to 2 PM. Officers will be at the intersection to keep traffic moving. Please plan accordingly and use caution.

CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC UPDATE: Effective tomorrow, Tuesday, February 20, 2018, South Old Decatur Rd, from the Cromwell-Marine Creek Boulevard/West Hills Terrace intersection to Springhill Drive is scheduled to be closed to through traffic. Traffic will be detoured to the new section of Marine Creek Parkway via the roundabout. This closure is projected to last until April 1, 2018. This action is to facilitate the tie in of Old Decatur Road and Marine Creek Parkway. Please review the attached map for traffic flow graphics.

Motorists please use caution when approaching crosswalks within the city. Vehicle operators are required to yield the right of way to pedestrians who have entered a crosswalk. We have been out stopping violators and educating drivers. Based on numerous observed violations we will be conducting specific enforcement at several locations during the next few weeks. Specific locations will include, but are not limited to; W Bailey Boswell Rd and N Knowles Dr (near Walmart), E. Bailey Boswell in front of Highland Middle School, Basswood Blvd at Saginaw High School and in front of Saginaw Fire Station #2. Please share with your friends. TEXAS LAW, PEDESTRIAN RIGHT-OF-WAY AT CROSSWALK. Wow, already four weeks into the school year. Remember, slow down in the school zones, yield to pedestrians at cross walks, no use of cell phones in school zones and no texting while driving statewide.
