‪Snacks on snacks on snacks! Thank you SO much to the Daughters of the American Revolution, San Gabriel Chapter for fueling up our officers on this #LawEnforcementAppreciationDay! What a nice surprise. #BackTheBadge ‬💙🚔🚨🚓

‪UPDATE: Suspicious item deemed safe. Units clearing.‬

Our crews are working a suspicious package call near Saddle Ridge and Wilderness Path Bend. Right now there is no danger to the public.

Queen Elsa has apparently decided we need even colder weather! It's a frosty morning in the 20's -- warm up your car but don't walk away from it. Car thieves love this time of year. Don't make it easy for them. #frozen #treatkeyslikecash

AVOID TOLL ROADS. We are diverting traffic from the toll roads at this time due to dangerous icy conditions.

Multi-car crash along 1431 near Vista Ridge because of ice. Road closures in the area. Also hearing several crashes in the Leander area. Drive slow and smart please!

DRIVERS: We have reports of at least one collision along the 183A toll road due to the icy conditions outside right now. Expect backups and please SLOW DOWN.

DRIVERS: We have slick conditions reported on Ronald Reagan north of 1431. Please slow down!!

Brrrr, it’s cold in here. There must be a New Year in the atmosphere! But seriously, it’s going to be very cold tonight with a hard freeze warning in effect starting at 9 p.m. for Travis and Williamson Counties. Our officers will be out to keep you safe but remember to plan ahead, don’t drink and drive and have a wonderful 2018! https://www.google.org/publicalerts/alert?aid=5e8555d0ab6a7847&hl=en

Fireworks. They're awesome right? Yeah, we know. But if you're thinking about lighting any off this New Year's Eve, sorry that won't fly with us (see what we did there?) Fireworks are ILLEGAL in Cedar Park (http://www.cedarparktexas.gov/departments/fire-department/fire-prevention-division/fireworks-ban) Be smart, be safe and Happy New Year!

THANK YOU CEDAR PARK!! Blue Santa distribution is complete for 2017. Because of your generous donations, this years Blue Santa effort provided more than 100 families with toys in our area! We believe every child should have a Christmas to enjoy and your help made that a reality. We are already looking forward to next year -- just remember to keep spreading the love!

No, these officers aren’t handing out traffic tickets—they’re surprising kids with toys! This has become an annual tradition for the Cedar Park Police traffic enforcement team and they love spreading holiday cheer!

Welcome the department's new PIO Alicia Inns. Alicia comes to us from KXAN and is a graduate of the University of Oregon. Welcome Alicia!

There is still time left to donate to Blue Santa. Donations for the ages of 8 to 18 would be greatly appreciated. Requested items have been hairdryer, curling irons, toys (Legos, Nerf launchers, racetracks), headphones, and sports equipment. Friday is the last for donations to dropped off at the Police Department or various businesses in our community.
