JOB ANNOUNCEMENT POLICE OFFICE CLERK Santaquin City is accepting applications for a part-time police office clerk. Primary duties will include, but are not limited to, performing a variety of general clerical duties as needed to support the daily administrative processes and procedures of the Police Department. Position includes up to 25 hours per week. Starting wage is $12.11-$14.61 per hour DOEQ; position is not eligible for benefits. Must have a high school diploma, one year of related office experience and able to type 40 wpm, type test results required with application. It's that time of year again, unfortunately, snow will soon be covering the ground and roads. November 1 starts the city winter parking ordinance. Over the next week, please remove all trailers and vehicles from the roadway to allow city snow plows to clean the streets. Winter Parking: Overnight Parking is not permitted on City Streets or in right-of-ways from November 1-March 31. Also, there is no daytime parking on days when snow is falling or forecast to fall. Please tag people who may not be aware of this ordinance.

Thank you all who participated in the national drug take back event. We received approximately 45 lbs in medication. For those who were unable to make it, there is a drop box located in the front lobby of the city offices (275 west main. ). You can drop them off any time during business hours. Town Hall Meeting - TONIGHT 2nd to last Town Hall Meeting for the Proposed Community Cultural Center will be held on Thursday, October 26th at 7:00 p.m. at the Senior Center located at 75 W 100 South. This meeting will be with the architectures of the proposed project. Renderings of the project will be available to view. Please attend and give your input. Go to Santaquin.org for more information. Last meeting will be held on Saturday, Oct 28th at 10:00 a.m.

On Saturday, October 28, from 10 am - 2 pm the Santaquin Police Department will be hosting a Prescription Take Back Event at the Santaquin Fire Department! Bring us your unused or expired prescription medication to make sure it is properly disposed of! See attached flyer for more information.

ATTENTION: Reminding everyone that S.R. 198 will be closed this Wednesday at 7 pm. The road will open on Monday 23rd of October.
