Raymond Police Department News

A BIG shout out to Weyerhaeuser for coming to the rescue today at 101 & Heath. A loaded log truck with a broken reach was stuck in the intersection. With the assistance of WSDOT and Weyerhaeuser we were able to get the truck unloaded and moved so traffic could get moving. Great community partners!!

Traffic Alert! ***UPDATE 8:30 pm. Roadway is Open*** A portion of SR6 between Gerber St. and Elwood St. is currently closed due to a collision. Traffic is being re-routed over Gerber and Harvard.

We would like to welcome two new officers to the Raymond Police Department. Officer Rikki Coma is a native of South Bend and has been a reserve officer with RPD for a couple years. Officer Jacob Haas comes to us after 6 years in the US Air Force as a Military Policeman. Rikki and Jacob are scheduled for academy training in the near future. We are very excited to have them on the team!!!

Now first of all, Sgt. Boggs may hunt me down for posting this.... However, we are very proud to announce that Arlie Boggs has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant with the Raymond Police Department! Sgt. Boggs is a native of Raymond and has been with the Raymond Police Department for 25 years. Congratulations to Sgt. Boggs!!!

Shop With a Cop 2017!

Just wrapped up another Shop With a Cop morning!!! I feel so fortunate to live in such a generous, supportive community. This program would not be possible without the tireless planning and organization of Michelle Layman and family. There are also many other volunteers. A special thanks to The Lady Elks for hosting the breakfast get together. Thanks to Santa and Mickey & Minnie for being there for the kiddos. Thanks to our significant others for wrapping all the presents, and to the officers attending and their command staffs who see this as such a rewarding opportunity for us all. A big shout out to Dennis Company who is a proud contributor to this program. And a big shout out to the Weyerhaeuser Company for their generous contribution. There were a lot of happy faces around town this morning that makes this cop so proud of our little community. PICTURES TO FOLLOW!
