Chief Smith and Captain Warych joined Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel at the City of De Pere Police Department yesterday to promote the National Drug Take Back events organized for this Saturday, April 28th. We are hosting our drug take back event at HSHS St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center from 10am to 1pm on Saturday. We also have a drop box available in our lobby 24/7. Many other agencies in the region participate in Drug Take Back Day and/or have a drug drop box available. Just a reminder the Walnut Street Bridge is closed until 3pm today. Tomorrow, Thursday, April 26th the Tilleman Bridge (Mason Street) will be closed 6am to 3pm.

Thank you to Black Lives United for hosting the “Community Conversation” at the Brown County Central Library yesterday afternoon. We had a roundtable discussion about race, racism, diversity and much more. Thank you to all the residents that attended and we look forward to the next conversation on Sunday, May 20th at the Brown County Central Library from 2:00-3:30pm.

McKenzie gave a motivational speech to student athletes at Green Bay Southwest High School on April 19, 2018. Also in attendance were 4 Green Bay Police Officers.

Chief Smith and Captain Warych joined many other community members this morning to learn about the Boys and Girls Club Youth Arts Initiative and what art programs are offered at the Club. Always a great morning meeting other community members and learning more about what our community partners offer!
