We would also like to report that the last gas drive off that we posted (back in June) has been solved thanks to it being posted on Facebook. A big thanks to Austin Vanburen this morning at the Waupun Public Library. Austin is an intern at the library and was assigned throughout the summer to assist the police department with locating names and dates of Waupun Police Chiefs and Marshals dating back to the 1800s. Austin spent numerous tedious hours and days researching old newspaper binders and articles for this information. He was presented a Waupun Police Challenge Coin by Chief Scott Louden and Deputy Chief Jeremy Rasch.
Thanks to Ryan, Grace, and Ava Bille for raising money for the Waupun Police Department’s K9 Program. They once again had a lemonade stand this summer and donated their earnings to this program.

A gas line was struck by a construction crew in the 900 block of Rock Ave. Please avoid this area for the next couple of hours. Approximately 100 residences in the surrounding area will be without gas until the issue is resolved.
We understand that available parking for special events and children's sporting events is very limited in parts of the city. Please be mindful of the property owners that have to live in these areas. Give at least 3 feet from the edges of driveways and if the curb is yellow, it is not a parking spot:)! Tickets will be issued if violations are observed. Thank you.
