Kenosha Police Department News

Officer Renteria, Officer Friendly Cochran and Crime Prevention Officer F. Labatore spent the last 4 weeks at Wilson Elementary school interacting with the students! The program lasted 5 weeks. These type of interactions with the students are to show to positive side of Law Enforcement. Officer Renteria was featured earlier reading books to the students in their classroom. Today I (Officer Schaper) and Officer Sanders joined the students for recess time. The young energetic kids were doing cartwheels in succession and I couldn’t be outdone. Officer Cochran thought I was going to land on my face and a small part of me thought the same thing. Thankfully that didn’t happen and I landed my cartwheel 🤸🏻‍♂️successfully! We had a great time there today and we hope to continue these types of interactions with the students throughout the school year and even in the summer. The students made Officer Renteria and Cochran keepsake books 📚 for them to take home and keep as a memory for their time at the school.
