PLEASE VOTE FOR TLPD! As many of you may know, thanks to all the community support and generosity, TLPD has just started their very first K9 program. K9 Rex has been doing excellent in training and will be on the road in a couple of weeks! Aftermath is giving out K9 Grants to five departments for their existing or prospective K9 programs for maintenance, safety equipment, or officer training. Officers and community members nominate and vote for local departments and the top five departments with the most votes will be awarded grants. Voting takes just a couple of seconds. UPDATE: Traffic has cleared up but is expected to back up again when the event lets out between 7:30-8:00 p.m. Traffic is backed up near the Country Thunder grounds due to "The Lights" event. Take alternate route if possible. Delays expected to last until the event has concluded and traffic has cleared out.

The Twin Lakes Police Department is happy to announce the newest addition to the force! With outstanding support from our businesses and members of the community, we were able to purchase K9 Rex from Steining Tal Kennels of Campbellsport, WI. K9 Rex is a 19 month old German Shepard that arrived here from Germany. He will undergo intensive weeks of training with his handler before his first his first shift on patrol, which is expected to be October 25th. Twin Lakes Police Department is extremely proud of our community, who made this all possible! Stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates and pictures of how K9 Rex is doing!

We can't say thank you enough to everyone who has and continue to support the K9 program! Yesterday's 1st Annual K9 Golf Outing was a success! 60 golfers and 80 auction attendees raised about $10,000 for the program! We are speechless. Thank you for supporting your local department and for being an advocate in helping protect our community through the invaluable K9 resource. We had too much fun at dinner and the raffle/auction to take pictures, but here are some of the golf outing and helicopter ball drop! Thanks for coming out! Stay tuned for 2018 outing details! YOU ARE INVITED!!! NATIONAL NIGHT OUT Tuesday, August 1st, 2017 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM St. John’s Church 701 N. Lake Avenue... Twin Lakes, WI National Night Out is a yearly event organized by local police and fire departments around the nation. This event is intended to build relationships between the police and residents, heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, promote neighborhood watch, and generate support for local anti-crime efforts. This event is free to attend and all residents are invited to participate. Please gather your family, neighbors and friends and stop by for K-9, taser and fire demonstrations, fire department ladder races, police department vehicles and equipment, door prizes, food (served from 5-7) and lots of fun.
