The Whitewater Police and Fire Commission announces Aaron Raap as new Chief of Police, scheduled to begin work with Whitewater early June, upon the retirement of current Chief of Police, Lisa Otterbacher. Congratulations and welcome Chief Aaron Raap.

Good evening, The Whitewater Police Department is investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian traffic accident that occurred on today’s date at approximately 6:54pm. The accident occurred on W. Main St. at S. Prince St. Specifically, information is being sought on the identities of the driver and the striking vehicle. The driver was described as a white male with shaved dark brown hair. The striking vehicle was described as a light colored sports utility vehicle. It should be noted that the driver door mirror was broken off during the impact and reportedly taken from the scene by the driver of the striking vehicle. The Whitewater Police Department and K9 Unit would love to extend a huge thank you to the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity for an amazing donation of $2,340.65! The fraternity held a color run last fall and donated all their proceeds to the K9 program. Officers Justin Stuppy and Ruso accepted the check are are very grateful. It is with great donations like this that allows us to continue to keep our community safe.
