On September 27, 2018, Jimmy Mills suffered an aortic dissection at his residence and doctors only gave him a 25 percent chance of success in his surgery. Jimmy is still recovering at home and has a long way to go. Jimmy is a lifelong citizen of Marion County and has served as the Marion County Emergency Management Agency Director for the past 10 years. Prior to that, Jimmy was employed with the Hamilton Fire Department. In order to collect donations for Jimmy, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department is selling chances on a YETI Hopper 30 cooler. Chances will be 1 for $5, 2 for $10, or 5 for $20. To get your chances, please see any Marion County Sheriff’s Department employee, or come by the county jail or Sheriff’s Office in the courthouse. If anyone would be interested in selling chances, please let us know. All money raised will go toward Jimmy’s medical expenses. **Post edited to correct prices on flyer.
