Randolph County Sheriff: The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a* Flood Advisory for Randolph County in east central Alabama andChambers County in east central Alabama* Until 1145 PM CDT.* At 950 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rain associated with Hurricane Michael that could cause small stream flooding in the advisory area. One to two plus inches of rain have fallen already and additional rains with training feeder bands could cause ponding of water in low lying areas. The heavy rain will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.

Weather Alert Randolph County EMA has issued the following from Birmingham Weather. The National Weather Service has issued a hurricane statement for Randolph And surrounding counties through tomorrow 12 noon. Possible sustained winds of 20 mph and wind gusts of 35 mph at times are predicted. Also the rainfall amounts will be from 1 to 2 inches. Everyone stay alert and tuned to weather channels in case the weather changes. We will update as necessary.

The Randolph County Courthouse and it's Annexes will be closed Monday October 8, 2018 for Columbus Day

The Randolph County Courthouse and its Annexes will be closed Monday Sept 3, 2018 for Labor Day. Please have a safe and Happy Holiday.

Road Construction has started on Hwy 431 from MM191 which is in the area of Meadows Farm Supply just south of Wedowee and will continue to Roanoke City Limits. They are expected to begin about 6 AM each morning. Please use caution when traveling this area and allow extra time for travel. Construction is expected to last about 2 months.

A $1000.00 reward has been issued by the victim, for anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who committed a theft of property of a Yamaha Big Bear four wheeler. The theft occurred at a resident in the vicinity of the 9700th block of County road 59. If you have any information, please contact the Randolph County Sheriffs Department Investigation division @ (256)357-2019.
