In May of 2017, Centerton officers took an initial report from the Fayetteville Police Department regarding a sexual assault that occurred in our city.
The suspect, Damon White, was a citizen of Centerton and was suspected of sexually assaulting two minors. An intensive investigation was initiated which included a search warrant for White’s residence. Most of the items that were seized were computers, cameras, and electronic storage devices. Detectives sought search warrants for all of the devices, which were then transferred to special agents with the department of Homeland Security Investigations in Fayetteville.
During the initial stages of the forensic device searches, it was suspected that the items had been cleared. After hard work, determination, and dedication by the special agent conducting the searches, he was able to recover multiple very important videos. The videos, which are too graphic to describe, showed investigators and prosecutors an actual inside look to the heinous crimes that were committed.
Today, a year and four months later, Damon White pleaded guilty to the crimes listed below. He was sentenced to 100 years in Arkansas Department of Corrections.
We want to thank everyone that had anything to do with the success of this case. Including our own Detective Nicholson, who has been working this case from start to finish.
