Meth lab Greene County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Mr. Michael S Hyde today after finding a methamphetamine lab in his residence during a probation search. Mr. Hyde also had 2 active warrants. He was booked into jail for manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and distribution near certain facilities.

Medicine bottles with a timer These medicine bottles County Judge Rusty McMillon and Sheriff David Carter are holding have a built in timer in their lids. The timer will tell you how long it has been since you last opened the bottle. So if someone didn't remember if they took their medication on a certain day all they would have to do is look at the timer. It will reset every time the bottle is opened. These bottles were provided by The Crowley's Ridge Development Council Regional Prevention Programs. We have some of the bottles available at the Sheriff's Department dispatch window.

Vaccinations The Arkansas department of health sent four nurses out to the Greene County Detention Center today to offer vaccinations for Hepatitis A and the Flu to any detainee who wishes to have them.

Sheriff's Department trunk or treat We would like to thank everyone for coming out to the trunk or treat tonight. We had no idea so many people would show up but we are glad you all did. It looked like everyone had a good time.

Trunk or Treat We will be having a trunk or treat in the parking lot in front of the Sheriff's Department Tuesday evening from 6:00pm till 8:00pm. Wednesday night looks very wet. So bring the kids out while its dry and have a good time in a safe location.

National Cat Day Today is national cat day, if you have a cat in your family ( because no one really owns a cat ) put their photo out and share them.

National Drug Take Back Day We had a good turnout for the Drug Take back today at Walmart. After removing all bottles and packaging we will turn in 33 pounds of prescription medication to The State Police Headquarters Monday. Thanks to everyone that participated today.

Drug take back day tomorrow October 27th Tomorrow is national prescription drug take back day. We will be stationed in front of the Walmart super center on west kings hwy from 10:00 am till 2:00 pm. Please come on out and bring all your outdated and unused medications for proper disposal.

Grave marker back to where it belongs We would like to thank everyone for helping get this head stone back to its proper place.Mr. Reinhart of Lafe had records locating each grave in the Beliew Hill Cemetery and personally came out and showed us where the grave was.

Need a little help We have a grave marker that vandals removed from what we believe to be beliew cemetery. We would appreciate any help getting this marker back to where it belongs. Tuesday Search Warrants Tuesday morning Sheriff David Carter, The Greene County S R T Team and The Greene County Drug Task Force executed two search warrants. The search warrants resulted in three felony arrests. Shannon Knuckles, Vickie Neal and Alishia Crabtree were all arrested for Delivery of crystal methamphetamine, Use of a communication device and Distribution near a certain facility.

Scam Alert We have had several phone calls today about a phone scam in Greene County. The person claims to be an Officer with The Greene County Sheriff's Department claiming to have a warrant for them for missing jury duty. This person claims to be Officer Brooks. Their is no Officer Brooks at The Sheriff's Department. If you get a call like this just hang up. This has been going on in several counties in north east Arkansas.

GCT Fun Run. We would like to thank GCT for inviting us out to the GCT Fun Run this year. We had a good time visiting with the children and handing out medals.

Probation search yields meth arrest. During a probation search Tuesday afternoon Mr. Kevin Wands was arrested by Greene County Deputies for possession of crystal methamphetamine and numerous active warrants.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Greene County Sheriff's Department will be wearing their pink badges to show our support for this cause. The administrative assistance ladies have one again designed a shirt to show support also. The ladies design these shirts every year and order them at their own expense.

Tuesday night Warrant Round up Tuesday night Greene County Sheriff's Deputies served several warrants and arrested four persons on drug charges. Asa Ray, Delivery of crystal methamphetamine and Distribution near a certain facility. Owen Hammon, Delivery of crystal methamphetamine and Distribution near a certain facility. Joseph Layne, Delivery of crystal methamphetamine and Distribution near a certain facility. Amanda Johnson, Possession of crystal methamphetamine and Drug paraphernalia.

Good time at Marmaduke school today. We would like to thank Mrs. Belinda, Mrs.Tosha, Kalinda Hampton and Tosha Hendrix for having us out at Marmaduke School today. We had a good time meeting and talking to all the children.

Weekend Arrests Over this past weekend Greene County Deputies made several felony drug arrests. Matthew Johnson, Loretta Pollard, Blake Wilcoxson and Mary Wortham were all arrested for possession of crystal methamphetamine.

In a joint effort with Greene County Sheriff's Department and the Paragould Police Department resulted in 4 people charged in a 6 vehicle car ring theft, multiple breaking or enterings, commercial burglary, and residential burglary. All 6 vehicles, several guns and over 1000 rounds of ammunition and miscellaneous items recovered.
