There are areas of patchy dense fog tonight. Remember, if you encounter heavy fog reduce your speed but don’t slam on your brakes. Use low beams only as high beams will reduce your visibility by reflecting the light back toward you. Use fog lights if your vehicle is so equipped. Use your windshield wipers. Also remember that animals will be much harder to see in fog and deer are on the move because it is near peak breeding season right now.

Welcome home to Greenwood PD's own Lt. Brad Hobbs & Officer Mason Redding!!

The Greenwood Run, Walk, and Roll event will begin Saturday morning at 9am. Traffic will be stopped for the runners on Center Street, beginning at Old Hackett until they all reach Bell Rd. Parts of Main Street will also be blocked for a few hours. Please be mindful of this if you need to get through town at that time. Good Luck too all the participants and be careful!

Our department will be out heavily patrolling during this event, on foot and on the road. If you are walking; please use the crosswalk at Main & Center-- be sure you are visible to drivers to avoid any accidents. Have fun, be safe, & stop by and see us on the trail to get some candy!
