***Found Property*** On Saturday, November 3, 2018, the White County Sheriff's Office towed an abandoned four wheeler which was located on Highway 124 near Pangburn, Arkansas. An owner could not be found at the time of tow. If you know of anyone who is missing a black Kawasaki four wheeler, please have them contact the White County Sheriff's Office at 501-279-6279.

***Promotions*** Please join us in congratulating the following White County Deputies who recieved promotions today. Detective Corporal Steve Cochran was promoted to the rank of Detective Sergeant and will remain assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division. Detective Heather Meadows was promoted to the rank of Detective Corporal and will also remain the the Criminal Investigation Division/Domestic Violence Unit. ***Missing Person*** On September 23, 2018 at about 2:27 pm, the White County Sheriff’s Office prepared a report in regard to a missing person. According to the report, Toria Wagner, 38, of McRae, Arkansas was last seen by family on or about September 21, 2018. Wagner is described as being 5’05 and weighing 140 pounds. She has brown hair and green eyes. Her last known clothing description is unknown. If you have any information or know the location of Wagner, please contact your local law enforcement office or the White County Sheriff’s Department at 501-279-6279.

***Lost Wallet*** A lady has contacted us in regard to a lost wallet. According to her it is believed to have been lost at one of several places to include Kroger (Searcy), Allison's on Highway 16 and the Dollar General on Highway 16. She described it as a vinyl, Nintendo controller print, tri-fold wallet. It's important to them because it contains their rent money. The White County Sheriff's Office is asking for anyone who may have seen it or is in possession of it to please return it to us so that we can get it to it's rightful owner. No questions asked. ***Stolen ATV*** On Tuesday, 08/14/18 at about 1:55 pm, White County Sheriff's Deputies generated a report for the theft of an ATV for a resident in the 100 block of KOA Road in McRae. According to the complainant, between the dates of 08/03/18 to 08/12/18 someone stole their red Honda 4 wheeler. Pictured below is the actual 4 wheeler. On June 19, 2018, the White County Sheriff’s Office followed up an investigation first started by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. It was reported that the Frito Lay warehouse located on Highway 167 had been unlawfully entered along with several of its trucks. A short time later, an Ipad that was stolen from the property was tracked by a White County Deputy to a location on Rocky Point Road. The residence was an address known to be occupied by a parolee who had an active search waiver on file. The White County Sheriff's Department Criminal Investigation Division was contacted and also responded to the location. Upon entering the home, several individual were located inside the residence along with several items linked to the Frito Lay warehouse as well as several reported thefts in White County. Those items included several electronics and tools. Throughout the investigation a truck was also recovered. Those individuals along with their charges were as follows: -Jordan Tarvin, 28, of Judsonia arrested for Theft By Receiving; parole violation -Jeremy Kennedy, 46, of Judsonia arrested for Theft By Receiving; also violated parole -Paul Speakman, 34, of Judsonia arrested for a parole violation and misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines; parole violation -Blake Edom, 21, of Judsonia arrested for Theft by Receiving and a misdemeanor warrant for failure to comply to a court order The total recovery was estimated at about 10,000.00.

Brad Davis, operations manager with Southern Pipeline Construction recently presented a check to Chief Deputy Phillip Miller to be used to purchase Narcan for White County patrol deputies to carry. Law enforcement agencies across the country are turning to Narcan as another tool in the fight against the opioid crisis. The use of Narcan has the potential to reverse the effects of an opioid-based overdose-which can lead to death. Deputies will receive training on the proper use and administration prior to implementing the use in the field.

***SCAM ALERT*** PSA: The White County Sheriff’s Office would like to inform you of a scam that is circulating. Unidentified men are calling the public within White County (from telephone number 501-239-5281) and telling them that they have a warrant for FAILURE TO APPEAR on a jury summons and will be arrested if money is not sent in a timely manner. They have even gone as far as identifying themselves as the Sheriff and Chief Deputy. This is a SCAM and the White County Sheriff’s Office does not conduct business in this manner. We would NEVER ask you for money and certainly not over the phone. If you encounter one of these phone calls, please do not hesitate to call the White County Sheriff’ Office if you want to report it. More importantly, never give anyone money over the phone. If it sounds ridiculous then it probably is. Please do not fall for this scam.

On Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at about 11:08 pm, White County Sheriff’s Deputies generated a report for Terri Clark in reference to her juvenile daughter, Casey Hammons, 16, running away from home. Hammons is from the Beebe/Romance area of Arkansas and is described as being 5’5 and weighing 115 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Her last clothing appearance is unknown. She is believed to still be in the Beebe area. If you know the whereabouts of Hammons, please contact White County Sheriff’s Detective Jeremy Bokker at 501-279-6279, White County Dipatch at 501-279-6241 or your local law enforcement agency.

***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*** On April 6, 2018, White County Sheriff’s Detectives responded to Camp Wyldewood, 155 Riverside Park Road in Searcy, Arkansas to investigate a suspicious device found inside a cabin on the property. Upon further inspection, the device was determined to be a camera set to record video. During the investigation contact was made with the suspect, Camp Wyldewood Director Robert Powell, who confessed to concealing the camera in the tenant’s home with the intent to target an adult female. The victim disclosed she had no knowledge of the camera. Detectives then searched the entire camp and found no other recording devices. Mr. Powell was arrested and charged with one count of video voyeurism. Mr. Powell's bond was set at $2500.00 and he was given a Circuit Court date of June 5, 2018 at 9:00 AM. The Camp Wyldewood Board of Directors have been extremely cooperative during this investigation. This is believed to be a solitary incident but it is still an on-going investigation.

Funeral arrangements for Deputy Lynn Smith are as follows. Visitation will be held on Friday April 6, 2018 at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 7, 2018 at 2 P.M. at Riverview High School.

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we announce the passing of Deputy Lynn Smith. As you may know, Deputy Smith had to have emergency surgery last night due to complications from a surgical procedure earlier in the week. Unfortunately Deputy Smith never recovered and passed away on Sunday April 1, 2018 at 9:00 P.M. A prayer circle had been scheduled for Monday April 2, 2018 at 7:15 A.M. at the Riverview Flag Pole, where Lynn was currently the School Resource Officer. In light of the circumstances the Prayer Circle has been moved to the Riverview Football Stadium still to be held at 7:15 A.M. to honor Lynn and pray for comfort and healing for his family, his students who he loved and cared for so much, and his brothers and sisters of the White County Sheriff’s Department during this difficult time. No arrangements have been made at this point however we will update you with that information when it becomes available. Rest easy our brother, we love you and you will never be forgotten! White County Sheriff's Deputy Lynn Smith, current School Resource Officer for Riverview, had surgery early last week. Unfortunately he had to have emergency surgery last night and is in critical condition. Monday, April 2, at 7:15 AM there will be a prayer circle at the flagpole at Riverview High School. As always, THANK YOU all for your help. *** Original Story: On Sunday, 03/25/18 at about 1:00 AM, juvenile Eli Rollette, 17, was reported missing by his father. According to Eli’s father he was supposed to be at his grandmother’s home on Rodgers Road in Romance but left and had not returned. Eli is described as being 5’6 and weighing 150 pounds with brown hair. His eye color and clothing description is unknown at this time. He may still be around the Romance, Arkansas area. He was last seen in the Beebe area on Monday, March 19th. Mr. Osborne owns a faded, dark blue, 2002 Buick Le Sabre with a damaged front-end. Original Post: On Monday, 03/12/18 at about 3:11 pm, the White County Sheriff’s Office generated a report for a resident in the 100 block of Tree Lake Drive in Searcy. According to the resident, she has not seen or talked to her daughter, Emily Fields, 20, in a few days. Fields is also a student at the Beebe High School and has not been to school. Emily Fields is described as being 5’3 and weighing 195 pounds. She also has brown hair and blue eyes but her last known clothing description is unknown. It is believed that she could possibly be in the Vilonia or Conway, Arkansas area.
